I didn't start watching BtVS until after the series ended. I used to watch reruns while getting ready for work in the morning. I started taping the ones that I'd miss, and I quickly became obsessed. My initial reaction was: "This is the best damned show EVER! Why did no one tell me about it?"

I started reading fanfiction about two and a half years ago. I had read a few of the published BtVS books, but I found fanfic to be much more well written. Go figure.

I'm a Spuffy girl all the way. I suppose that's mostly because of Spike, who I think is the most compelling, complex, multi-dimensional character ever to appear on TV, in books, in movies, or in plays. I like the character because his motivation in everything that he does is always L-O-V-E, Love, in one form or another. Most characters--and real people--shy away from Love. They let other things become more important, shy away from it because they are afraid of getting hurt. But Spike is drawn to Love, like the proverbial moth to the flame.
