Pimp Mama

Jan 04 2008 04:07 am   #1Immortal Beloved

WARNING: Shameless self-pimp ahead!

:clears throat: So, I've been thinking of a gimmick for my LJ.  I don't write fanfic, so I decided that I'd post my personal ramblings regarding any and all things Buffyverse.  For my first installment, I contemplated the ways in which Anya and Spike were treated differently by the Scoobies.  You can find the post here: http://beloved-77.livejournal.com/6025.html#cutid1

Feel free to read over on LJ and comment there, or you can continue the thread here if you wish.  I'd love to hear your observations :-)

As they say, pimping ain't easy, so props to you for a little advertising!

I think it's a great idea, cause it seems like when we get to talking on the tag, everyone has such great ideas, but then it's the tag, so it's gone--can't go back and read it again after a day or so.  The great thing about blogs and forums is that the discussion can keep going for as long as there's interest, even if the next interesting thing gets said a week later.

Seems like a great idea, IB. Sort of a meta-post journal. Go you for thinking of it. :)

This is my shout out  for Buffytube Ning Network - of which I am now the administrator - http://buffytube.ning.com/

Hope you will stop by and check out the site, it is a very nice place to see vids, images and discuss at the different groups -

Buffytube is having a Halloween Celebration with Vids and Images and I would like to feature Halloween related fan fiction.  If you have a story that I can post a link for, please let me know - or if you have some recommends for me, I would appreciate any help.   I tried our search here but we don't have a holidays category.

At the New England Comic Con in Boston, MA, Scarlet Ibis and I had the unique opportunity of chatting with a few of the Buffyverse alumni.  We’ve put together some videos to share.  Here’s the first one with Amber Benson: www.youtube.com/watch.  Enjoy! :-)  The others will be up in the coming days.

Scarlet Ibis and Immortal Beloved -

You two and fantastic - I am so happy to see you both expanded into this new activity - Congratulations and what a great interview with Mr. Metcalf - excellent - sure wish that there was some way that you could do a little damping on the ambinient noise - well, that's the character of field interviews in crowded places.

Well Done -  Scarlet Ibis, you look lovely, beautiful young woman - hope we get a chance to see Immortal Beloved in front of the camera sometime.  Hope we get a James Marsters interview sometime.

do a little damping on the ambinient noise

Believe it or not, that's the sound magnified three times with the background noise reduced. :-P  A friend of mine is a professional editor, and even she couldn't do anything with it.  I guess that's why they're always saying, "Quiet on the set." :-)

Anyway, glad you enjoyed the vids.  We were unable to get everyone this time around, but, hopefully, we'll get another chance. :-)

Um...I plan on interviewing Marsters next year.  Well, it's a plan ;)
