Please feel free to copy and spread this about on the net, since some of us are quite desperate and feel this is the best "vamp" show with most potential out there.

Does any one remember a show from the early 90's called "ForeverKnight" Its leading man was a vampcop who also went by the name of Nick...he had a "sun" allergy, and drove a vehicle strangely reminicent of Angel's. There is far too much recycling in Hollywood and T.V. Land. Moonlight is an (okay) show and I hope it gets stronger if given time to develope. We can all remember btvs season one..... Randi Giles

Yeh i do remember.

I think i actually posted on the Moonlight subforum at IMDB how annoyed i was that it "on pape"r was so alike Angel and foreverknight and dark shadows and god knows what. Then the other day i had 3 days to myself so i thought id give one ep a go and then another and then i just watched the rest yesterday and now im hooked.

Its important to not get stuck in the past and judge the shows on writers lack of original inspiration. Moonlight works, i didnt think it would but it does.. it doesnt feel "been there dont that" except some scenes that all vampire shows seem to re-use in one way or another.

Nothings never gonna be buffy or angel again, and everything is pretty much reusing what someone esle has written at some point in history unless they come up with a vampire gym teacher who works at a farm for the disabled at night. Only 10 eps this far and its pretty strong i care already , cant wait for the last 2 eps now before therse a draught because of the writers strike.  Point is to get as many as possible to tune in to give the show a chance for a 2nd season and further development. Else were back at square one with nothing. Well the other shows who won at Peoples Choice Award have got renewed i heard, so hopes good but were not taking chances!!! (over 10 million votes secured moonlight as a winner YAY! )

JoJo I love your icon. ;)

I do remember Forever Night, loved that show, and I'm really enjoying Moonlight. I will admit, at first when I watched the premire eppie. I wasn't impressed. Though that could have been because my hubby was sitting next to me making fun of the show and vamps in gen. (he can't stand them or supernatural shows booo) So I couldn't get into it. But then I watched the first three eps. on cbs.com and fell in love. I hope this show comes back for a second season, beacuse I really enjoy it. And I do think it's different and can go far if given the chance. I like Ghost Whisperer too!

I have been watching since it came on - I think that the series is getting better with every week - Problem that I have is that SciFi Friday Stargate Atlantis is on at the same time.  As I always try to support any of the SciFi or horror genre programs - watch Moonlighting First and then Stargate later -

They cancelled Blood Ties which is too bad - program had some potential but was cancelled quickly - pity that TV has taken on this "Fast Numbers Rating" - cuts off lots of programs without allowing for an audience to develop.  While Blood Ties had many flaws - I think the production was getting better - Oh well, since I read all the books, I will just have to go back to them when I want to visit with Henry again.  Anyway, if you are interested in watching some of the series I think Lifetime still has the last four episodes on the On Demand Schedule with Comcast.

Thank you GoldenBuffy I loves me Mickbeth :D , looks a bit messy in 100x100 scale.. i might have to redo it once ive watched ep 11 ;D

oh my god urs is soo cool do you alsow use lunapic?

What i love so about Moonlight is that it gives us that Tug-a-war that us buffyverse fans love so much. I liked blood ties, i only thought something was missing .. whatever that was im not sure. I only know that emotionally im very satisfyed and on the edge like I LOVE to be.. therse chemistry in abundance in moonlight... maybe thats what i feelt lacking between the main leads in blood ties, or maybe im just bias to vampiers and im always wanting the girl to have more chemistry with the blood sucker lol

I actually prefer Blood Ties over Moonlight, even though I really like both shows.  I'm still upset that BT was cancelled, I think it would have been given a better chance if it was put on a different network to begin with.  As for Moonlight, I have to admit that I'm liking it a lot more than I thought I would.  I didn't even want to watch when I first heard about it, but I'm glad I decided to check it out.  I wasn't so sure about Mick at first, but he gets hotter to me with every episode.  Even more so finding out that the actor has a sexy Australian accent, but he sure is no Spike.
When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy.

but he sure is no Spike.

No, but who could replace our darling?  And MIck is pretty good; but gotta say, my favorite, favorite on that show is Josef; he reminds me of Spike more than anything:  Sarcastic, sardonic, with that whole "humans are just happy meals on legs" attitude; absolutely love the whole "Vampire solidarity, rah-rah".  I'm to the point now where I'm watching just for Josef's reactions; the episode where he met Beth for the first time??  I was in stitches on the couch, I was laughing so hard!

MOONLIGHT is okay....better than I thought it would be.  It it were up against BLOOD TIES, I would have watched Henry.  Kyle Schmid was growing on me.

TRUE BLOOD should be starting soon on Showtime.  This series is based on the Southern Vampire Novels with Sookie Stackhouse.  I SAW previews!!

I like Josef also - that character could be used to bring in more information and interest in the vampire lifestyle - while they keep Mick and Beth and the romantic leads - Coraline is also very interesting.

As much as I hate to say it, cause I would so love to see great horror, scifi, and fantasy as regular and strong programs - Blood Ties had so many problems once you stepped away from the leads.  Are have been some very weak actors and actresses and some characters that were just mishandled, Corrine being one of them.  And I must really be out of date of what "Is Cool & Current" in fashions.  The costumes for Corrine are plain silly, even as parody.  I am always amazed how viewers are suppose to accept nonsense -  Like women running around in High Heels while working and living on a space ship or combat situations.  One of the episodes they had Henry wearing what looked like cheesy cheap women's gloves or something that is given to pallbearers.  Is the audience not suppose to know or notice bad production errors.

I will however miss Blood Ties and just wish the station had given them better support - of course, look what happened to Firefly.  I am glad Moonlight is doing better and Blood Ties and that is has a chance to develop their characters and a larger audience.  I am looking forward to the Showtime series - but I will have to purchase it at itunes.
