The lovely selene2 recently invited me to help co-mod to her banner community. She has made some exciting changes to the way the community operates, so please run over there and take a look at the new rules in the user info.

The changes give both artists and authors a chance to inspire, and be inspired by, each other's work.

Any further pimping of the comm is very much appreciated!

Thanks for posting the info - went over and joined - but I totally suck at navigating LJ - what the heck is a "cut" ?   I have had a LJ for a while now, second try actually, but I get frustrated and just give up on trying to post -  to bad, because I really would love to be active with the fanart communties there -  love working with these characters -

You're welcome! Thanks for joining, I hope you enjoy the com.

An lj cut just keeps things nice and tidy so your f'list doesn't get annoyed with you! lol

The code for it is  <lj-cut>  All you do is put anything big (like art work, fics etc) beneath that code. And yeah, most communities will ask that you use them.

<lj-cut> before the text or image, then </lj-cut> to close the cut. Won't work without the /

Thanks for the help - I will go over and try posting - if I check source data, maybe I can see an example - I really need to spend time with their FAQ - I have tried before, but the problem is that they don't give sample tutorials.
