WriterConUK, Midimeet 2008

Do you live in the UK or Europe, within doable travelling distance of Reading? Are you interested in meeting up in RL with other fandom folk? Do you consider yourself to be a writer, a beta, an artist or a reader? If the answer to any of these is yes, and you happen to be free the weekend of August 15 - 17, then why not consider attending Midimeet 2008 of WriterConUK?

After a successful Midimeet in 2007, we are holding a similar event again this year. It is not on the scale of Writercon in the USA, far from it. Midimeet is a pretty intimate affair bringing together folk from all areas of the Jossverse fandom (though any other fandom is welcome, naturally) for workshops/panels/presentations on topics of interest. Plus quite a bit of socialising as well!

The emphasis is very much on having a fun experience, maybe learning something new, meeting old friends and making new ones.

If you are interested, please take a gander at either our LiveJournal or website community.livejournal.com/writerconuk/ or writerconuk.org/. Both give details of registration and current attendees, some of whom I would hope you might recognise from their contributions to Bloodshedverse. - and I know of at least two others who are 99.9% sure to come!

Any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me. justsue2005@yahoo.co.uk

Oh, and please do pass on to anyone you know who might have missed this here or on LiveJournal. Thank you!
