New James Movie!

I just saw this announcement!

"James is happy to announce that he will be starring in the forthcoming ITV / History Channel / ProSieben movie "Moonshot."

"Moonshot" is a dramatization of the days leading up to the Apollo 11 launch to the moon. James will portray American astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

"Moonshot" is expected to air in 2009 but no specific date is yet scheduled. "

That's hilarious, it was set up before James was even attached. Well, plenty of Baby Boomers remember the space missions.

I'm very happy for James, and just hope I'll get a download or something. Our "free" cable disappeared a while ago, LOL.

Having been an egg in my mother's ovary during the moon landing, I looked up a picture of Buzz Aldrin to see who our boy is playing.

:screaming in abject terror:

*gasp*  :-O  NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!   Not the buzz cut!  Not the buzz cut!  Oh, sweet horror.  The curls, the curls.  I like the curls... :-(

Okay  :-)  now that I've gotten that out of my system, I can say: Yay, James!    :dance: 

And yay us for getting to watch something that is not "Saving Grace."  Sounds like I won't be needing that rusty soup spoon to gouge out my eyes while I stare devotedly at TV screen waiting to catch a glimpse of Jimmy.  Hell, Mr. IB is always forcing me to watch some mind-numbingly boring show on the History Channel, while I gaze covertly at pics of James on my laptop, pretending to be interested in the evolution of sheet metal over the ages :-P  Now, I can actually pay attention.

Squee!  I love James :-D  I just wish I could program my DVR for next year :pout:

Damn it all!  Why couldn't it be Canada?  At any rate...I probably wouldn't have been chosen anyway.  A period piece in the sixties about astronauts...Nope, don't see much going on there.

Yeah, my friend Aimee pointed out that meant he would be back to shaved head... ugh - and then had the gall to make the comment it was better than bleeched neon - so wanted to hit her but we were in a restaurant, haha


And the History major has an objection to the person who made the nasty remarks about the History channel, which she loves.... tho I wish there were less weapons and war shows....

Well, Buzz also has a receded hairline, so it's 'possible' they'll use a wig......maybe. Sometimes the astronauts had a buzz, and sometimes it was just cropped really short and neat. It's up to their interpretation, I guess. Buzz is blonder than James, too (though that could have been from the sun).
