reading the story now - I was just waiting to read this one until you had several chapters up - I will start one with a simple use of main characters for now and we can do one with more specific ideas later - will try to have something finished by end of this week.  Right now I have to finish up a installation that I am doing plus working on an art website - plus doing banner for one other story -

I really liked your opening with Riley - nice treatment.

Not sure where I could post this question about banners, so I thought here. I'm trying to create a banner, but the one shot of Spike's face I really want cannot be found in screencaps or on the interwebz. Please, does anyone know if I can somehow take a picture of my TV screen and if so, how do I make that into an image I can then edit online? I'm not that great with cameras or whatever software I might need to upload a pic onto my computer. Thanks.

fairly hard to get photos from tv screen - primarily because of the moire lines and exposure control - I have taken many shots from tv screen but I had planned on working with the screen distortions -

I have a great many DVDcaps - what are you wanting to use, maybe I have something that could be useful -

Here is a try at your banner - kept in simple as your excellent story has a quality of introspection and trying to move from one space to another - Hope you like it - if needed I can adjust the size format

nmcil ortiz domney Flickr link - check on the "all sizes" to see variations

I LOVE YOU!!! :-) It's absolutely brilliant. I'm about to upload a new chapter and I will be adding that, you can be sure. It's so beautiful and I love the clock motif in the background. Thanks for keeping Riley central too! Yaayyyyy! Thank you so much.

Glad you like it - I felt Riley had to be main feature - after all he is the main voice  and a very good voice you have given him.  If you can please credit nmcil and the whedon world gallery - the link, for  the image is at my flickr if you don't use the larger image,

Thanks for letting me do your banner -  if the format needs to be changed for other sites, let me know.  I can adjust.  I always forget that most banners are done on more rectangular format - I got used to this style from the gallery images.

I've just written thanks to nmcil for the moment, but let me know if you want me to write more, add a link etc.

Thank you for taking your time to do my banner. It's so very cool.

have a banner study ready for "Business As Usual" -- since the consistant character along with Agnes is Spike, I used his image - let me know if this works, I also was going to add Dawn, but it started getting too crowded and not sure how important she will be in the rest of story -  check out the "all sizes" for variations.  I can also do a simple study of only the place setting with fancy text if you think that would work better.  If you decide to use please credit nmcil with link to my whedon world gallery site  www.whedonworld.com    thanks loads -

The only reason that I would like Whedon World Gallery link www.whedonworld.com  is that I so need to get more visitors to my site.  If not too much of a distraction, I would appreciate the link - thanks loads and thanks for your very nice comments on the banner - much appreciated.

Here is a revised study for BAU - think this works much better - tried changing the colors for service, but could not get it blue - did manage to find one teapot with blue/white - could not find the oxford pattern in tea pot.

Hi spikez_tart

Have an attempt at your banner posted at flickr for you to see - hope you like it - lot harder to do these without first reading the story - this was the closest sword that I could find to match - I like your visualization very much, maybe you can adjust it or this might work as is.  Also, I wanted to keep it simple so that the banner did not give hints of your plot too much -  I can change the color on red type if you want the HOW? to be more distinct, however I tried more vivid colors and I makes this too crowded  Original image is at my flickr site:  http://www.flickr.com/photos/nmcil/3202790837/sizes/o/

Hi Shakes -

posted the first two banner studies for you at my Flickr site - hope you like them - used the longer author id for "Belong" for balance,  I think it works I could also use an excerpt from your story text instead if you like.  Posted original color scheme but can easily convert to tone from your sample if you want.  Use the "all sizes" to see the various sizes and original large image - once you decide I will send you appropriate sized files for faster downloading -
