BSV Forum - General - Off-Topic SMG News Sarah and hubby Freddie are expecting a bundle of joy this fall. Congrats to them! The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.--- e e cummings Come to challengespuffy post Spuffy fic challenges or find something to write about Apr 12 2009 08:52 pm #2BecomingChosenGirl13 That`s sweet!, I hope they have a girl and name her Buffy^^. Apr 13 2009 03:39 am #3Guest Honestly, and I have much love for Buffy, but no child should have to live with that name. I hope Sarah wouldn't be that cruel. Apr 13 2009 11:59 am #4Guest She'll probably chose a crazy name her baby - like all "celebrities". Allyson Hannigan named her girl Satyana if I remember right. It's not a common name either. Apr 14 2009 12:53 am #6BecomingChosenGirl13 I personaly think Satyana is insane, reminds me of that "the ring" girls name who kill people :P and pretty much serial killer-ey. Yup, I`m crazy but that`s my thoughts to that name. Apr 14 2009 02:20 am #7Spikez_tart Satyana does have that Black Sabbath ring to it, but Apple is still my favorite. That and Moon Unit Zappa. If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone' who? I, personally, loved Moxie Crimefighter and Pilot Inspektor. Although, Bluebell Madonna has a certain ring to it. Who named their kid Moon Unit Zappa? God! What are these celebrities thinking? Apr 14 2009 05:08 am #9Guest Frank Zappa named his kids Moon Unit and Dweezel. (They're a girl and a boy, or since that was 30+ years ago, woman and man now.) As far as I know they never changed them. Frank Zappa is a musician who was really popular a while back. (read at least a couple of decades.) He was never a favorite of mine, but there were people who really liked him. Varin Apr 14 2009 05:15 am #10Guest Ugh, more child abuse, and I never understood why anyone would name their child Apple. Why do celebrities have to go with unique names? My mother gave me one, and I've never been grateful for it. Then again, regular people aren't much better, like those two morons who named their son Adolph Hitler, yeah, that was genius. Apr 14 2009 10:48 am #11Guest It's SAHtyana.
"The name Satyana comes from two sanskrit roots: sat, which means truth or being, and also refers to action aligned or suffused with spirit; and yana, which means vehicle. So "Satyana" means a vehicle for action infused with the grace of spirit." CM Apr 14 2009 02:58 pm #12BecomingChosenGirl13 I love unique names, I`m named Julie, and I personally think it blows. In my mind EVERYONES named that, lol. I think there are several nice celeb baby names, what Angelina named her adopted kid, Zahara or something, I luuved that^^. Apr 15 2009 05:04 am #13TammyDevil666 I hate my name, no matter how many people tell me it's pretty, I will never agree with them. When I say, "I love you," it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and the worst of you, and I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Buffy. Apr 15 2009 05:18 am #14Scarlet Ibis The most ridiculous celeb baby name has to be Radio Science. That's just begging for an ass whooping from a bully. Moxie Crimefighter can be easily shortened to Moxie, and Pilot Inspektor...is somehow worse than Radio Science. I like Satyana. I think Buffy would be cruel, Willow would be old, Dawn would be hackneyed...Illyria sounds okay to me, but then someone told me it sounded like an STD, so I had to rethink it :P Anya's okay, I think... When I was little, I hated my first name, and insisted people call me by middle name, Ashley. Then I realized just how many Ashely's there are, and got over it... Still, I wouldn't wanna go by that, either. Apr 16 2009 12:56 am #16Guest In one of my classes growing up, I was one of 4 Kims. *eyeroll* Thing is, my mother had decided on that name for a girl way back when she was 12. LOL CM Apr 16 2009 02:00 am #17Guest Same here, my mom had my name picked out since she was 12, so I was always doomed. -Tammy Apr 17 2009 03:57 am #18Spikez_tart Frank Zappa is a musician who was really popular a while back. (read at least a couple of decades.) Heh heh more like four decades. I heard Dweezle was playing music a couple of years ago. My mother named me after someone she hated. I'm still pondering how that must have worked out for her. If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone' who? Apr 17 2009 09:45 am #19LadyYashka The most ridiculous celeb baby name has to be Radio Science. Who the hell named their kid that? I'm all for giving your kid a unique name, but come on. Kids are people, not pets. My mother managed to give me a unique name without scarring me for life, so I know it can be done. My name is Tonia, and for the most part, there was never anyone in my class with my name. (Closest I got was one girl in my grade whose name was Tonya, and this was in high school.) Though for such a simple name, you have no idea how many people spell it wrong. When I have kids, I've got William for a boy, (and no, not because of Spike. It was my great-grandfather's name.) and Cynthia for a girl. (Unless my sister has a girl first. It was our mother's name.) Tomorrow may be hell, but today was a good writing day, and on the good writing days nothing else matters. — Neil Gaiman FYO - Frank Zappa was an innovative genius and his oeuvre continues to inspire musicians. Dweezil tours with original band members - Zappa plays Zappa - I hope to see them in June. But as far as the names go....yikes. What about Zowie Bowie? Apr 18 2009 12:59 am #21BecomingChosenGirl13 Who the hell named their kid that? I'm all for giving your kid a unique name, but come on. Kids are people, not pets. Poor feteus :( . Apr 19 2009 04:01 am #22Spikez_tart wants to name he she or it Angel - ugh. If it's a boy you could buy him a lifetime supply of wifebeater shirts. If we want her to be exactly she'll never be exactly I know the only really real Buffy is really Buffy and she's gone' who? I once had an exchange student from Spain, his name was Angel, he thought it was funny as hell that there was a vampire named after him. SMG should name her baby William or James :D The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.--- e e cummings Come to challengespuffy post Spuffy fic challenges or find something to write about Apr 19 2009 05:28 pm #24Guest Lol, that`s my opinion too. My sister is pregnant and wants to name he she or it Angel :P.. Angel is either a broody vamp, a redneck slut or a cat... Poor feteus :( . I once had an exchange student from Spain, his name was Angel, angel is actually a really popular latin american and/or spanish name for males. like jose or jesus. legen Apr 19 2009 05:46 pm #25BecomingChosenGirl13 wants to name he she or it Angel - ugh. If it's a boy you could buy him a lifetime supply of wifebeater shirts. Thanks Tart, I`ll keep that in mind^^. angel is actually a really popular latin american and/or spanish name for males. like jose or jesus. legen Yeah, but we`re both norwegian, and so it will like be a norwegian kid with a english name, lol. She could have at least had the decency in her to name he she "Engel". Which is Angel in norwegian :). In my ears that sounds a hell of a lot better :P. | |||
