Other than Spuffy, what pairings do you like to read/write?

I'm rather partial to Waith, Gethan and Spaith (and Spike/Buffy/Faith)  and I do enjoy Ganya and Xaith sometimes, too. Oh, and Willow/Oz... I love Tara but I adore Willow/Oz.

I like Ganya. As far as everything else is concerned, I don't have any pairings I LIKE, just some that I DON'T read. But I always need some references to B/S in there to draw me in. A mention of them being together is enough, but I need to know Spike is happy somewhere in the background. LOL

Writing is the same. I've got fics with Giles/Jenny, Xander/Drusilla, Willow/Tara, Willow/Oz, whatever - when I write it I can manipulate the world in a way that makes pretty much every pairing possible. Well, as long as they don't squick me out, or go against the sexual orientation of the character...

I'm also writing quite a bit and keep dancing around the Dawn/Wesley idea but have paired her up with others... <<

I just dont see Spike with anyone else other than Buffy. Angel too with this unrequited love for her even though I will pair him up with others...Buffy will always own his heart (though she will always be with Spike).

I love Willow and Tara (HATE Kennedy) but I love Willow and Oz just as much.

There's no logic to it, it just is.

I can't do Spike slash.  Just cannot.  I don't really care as much about the pairings of secondary characters.  Like a lot of people I like Willow/Tara but have a soft spot for Woz. 

Other than Spuffy I like Spike/Faith, Spike/Fred, Spike/Anya, and Spike/Cordy. 

For non-spike pairings I like Giles/Anya, Giles/Joyce, Wesley/Fred, Wesley/Lilah, Gunn/Gwen, Cordy/Angel, and Angel/Faith.

And lastly, since I do love a good slash story, Spike/Angel. They even hinted to them having done it in the past! =)

I do not know if you have this site(Buffy Fiction Archive), but there are seven under the Spike/Cordy section. This site has pretty much any pairing you can think of.

Harmony in the right doses can be pretty funny. I just don't want to see them have sex, LOL.

Dude, am I the only Spillyria fan out there?  I swear that every other pairing has been mentioned, up to and including Snyder/Althanea, but no Spike/Illyria.  Jeez, now I feel like a social leper.

   I happen to like Spike/Illyria  <.<  >.>  there's just so much fun there.  Of course, to me, Spuffy will always come first.  I've never really been a huge fan of Buffy's character, but the two together is just something you could never ignore.

  Spike is my absolute favorite character of both series.  I like him with just about anyone, maybe even a little slash.  Spike/Willow seems to have some chemistry, Spike/Faith seems pretty cool sometimes since they both have a lot more in common than he and Buffy ever will (even though I still prefer Spuffy).  Spike/Dru may not have made alot of sense to some, but there was definately an intimacy there that was very convincing.

   There's no way I'm going to be able to get around to it for a while, but I plan to write some Spike/Illyria, Spike/Cordelia (just because I've never even thought of it before now) and Spike/Willow.  So far I've only written Spuffy and Spike/Drusilla.  I mostly do Drusilla because, well... <.<  >.>  I do crazy really well.

  Has anyone every done a Spike/Darla?  Because somehow I only see it in it not working.

Hmmm, this is a road I have not explored.  Fun fun fun.

I'm anti - Wood/Faith. I see him as cheating on her in the future with a Slayer resembling his mother. After all, he didn't go to Sunnydale to find Spike, He had no clue about him, he went there looking for a Slayer.

I mostly only like Spuffy. I can't see either with anyone else. Thats why my other pairings have to be Spilliam and Spike/Buffy/William (I saw someone at Spuffy Realm call it Spillfy, lol) Man would I kill to be Buffy in that Spike sandwich *fans herself*

A couple of the fics I've read had been twincest, which I know squicks some people out. I'm not sure if I want to try my hand at that one day...

As someone once said (back in the day) on BAPS, Spike could have chemistry with a cement block.  If the writers wrote that relationship and we watched James play it, the boards the next day would have been full of "Wow! Could you believe James and cement block last night?" "Spike and cement block - my new OTP!"  LOL  

Personally, I can see him with just about anybody (although Spawn totally squicks me out - I don't care how old she is in the story) - I just prefer to read/write him with Buffy.  I think Spike and Faith would have a wonderful dynamic (see Amyb's series for how well that could work), I love Spara and always have,  and I've even read a few very believable Spanders (in the best ones, Buffy is dead so the Spuffy is there, but in the past).  Spillow has never done much for me, oddly enough, I'm not sure why. I've read some Spillyria - the tentacles thing totally turns me off, but I can see them bonding a bit and her wanting to experience sex in Fred's body.

I prefer Spike with Buffy though recently I read a Spike/OC that was really good. I also like Spike/Tara because that boy just needs someone like her in his life. They balance each other out.

Really, Spike works well with most anyone because he just has that kind of dynamic. He's an adaptable character which makes it believable enough but he still retains his 'Spikeness' which keeps him from blending.

I'm not big on slash... M/M doesn't do much for me but there are a few fics that I actually end up liking because they are just written rather well - Alwaysjbj has a Giles/Ethan fic that is among those few M/M that I will read.

One pairing I wont read, at all, or write at all, EVER is Spawn. It just squicks me out - because for me they were always more big brotherly/little sisterly. Spawn for me, is just not believable no matter how well written. I do however like Dawn paired up with Wesley or with Xander even in the future like when she's in her 20's. Thus far my fave pairing is where Dawn follows in big'little' sister's footsteps and is able to be with Justin (the vamp she dusted in the Halloween/Xander-Anya engagement party ep of BtVS). Dawn/Connor is pretty good too.

Cordy, I like her with Doyle - bring his butt back!! Or even getting her and Xander together again after Chosen but without her death of course.

Angel, for me...its Buffy. I like her with Spike more but for me, Angel's one true love will always be Buffy. 200+ years and he's never loved anyone else so for me he will always carry that. I don't mind his pairing with Cordy because there is a mutual love and respect or even putting him with Willow because I think they could be good for each other (though Willow will always be with Oz for me or maybe Tara), but as far as real, deep-down love, Buffy is it for Angel.

Now, I'm off to make coq au vin in my crockpot - which sounds so much prettier than the English translation 'cock with wine'. I mean ewww. Makes me think of a cooking class taught by Lorena Bobbit and Hannibal Lechter.

I don't think I can see Spike/Tara, he doesn't seem her type. I think she's more into the sweet type. But when you look at canon, Spike was paired with Harmony for god's sake. How can that be believable.

The dynamic of Spike and Tara is that she is accepting and forgiving without being a pushover. She is sweet and gentle and guiding without being pushy and someone like that would go great with Spike because all of those are things he's never experienced and in dire need of.

With him, he is exciting and vibrant and generous and not afraid to go out and live it up - all things that Tara needs in her life as well.

Also they have the quiet, studious thing they share. They both like cuddling up with a book or with the telly and share a mushy, romantic nature.

For me, Spara is a favorite pairing outside of Spuffy. She can keep him grounded and he can help her fly.

As for Harmony... HA! She annoyed the crap out of me and I only consider her to be a piece of ass for Spike.

Maybe that's true, but still, seems to me that Tara works better with the sweet type like Willow, Oz or Xander.

It's a shame that Spike and Tara didn't have much interaction withe each other. Willow was always sweet to Spike. But again I don't see her go for him, Willow also seems into the sweet type.  

to me, Spara works because Spike *is* "the sweet type" only sort of in hiding...he's always a slave to his love, whoever that love happens to be for...and his heart is easily broken...

i always felt like spara would have been a good match because she could have given him the affection and acceptance that he needed, which everyone else denied him....

And to get that otherwise in the 'verse, you have to create a character, as few were ever as naturally like her as Tara was.
