This aren't really rules you have to follow, just some tips on how to make live easier for the forum-users.

1. Threads that basically want to create a collection of everyones ideas/reasons/... Like "How did you find this site?", "What's your favorite pairing?", ...

I know I've been guilty of this myself, but don't you think it would be better if we just let everyone post their answer to that question, without commenting on everything that's said? When I open a thread like that, I expect to find out how people answered the question, not what the creater of the thread has to say to those people. - If once most people have posted their answer, some of them start up a discussion, that's one thing. But if every other post is some off-topic comment, that kinda blows the whole idea of collection answers...

2. When you notice AFTER submitting your comment that you forgot to mention someting.

As long as no one posted an answer already, try editing your comment instead of making two or three posts in a row. It doesn't really change anything, but multiple posts by the same person (without anyone else posting in between) gives the impression that person is completely content to talk to her/himself - so who knows if they even need/want us around. (I know this in't possible for Guests, doesn't mean members can't try it.)

That's it for now. Like I said, those aren't rules, no one is gonna kick you out of the forum if you don't follow them - but it'd make things easier on those who didn't follow a thread from the beginning. (I noticed this after being away for a weekend.)
