Epilogue
Spikes poem was so beautiful, I must admit I got a little teared up because of it. Lovely smut and fluff :)
Thank you :D  I enjoy writing Spike's poetry, and I'm glad it rang true.

Such a romantic ending.  Poetry's a great tool for revving up hearts.
Thank you.  Glad it wasn't too much fluff ;)

"You're stubborn as hell."
when Xander said,"And besides, you're a lot more colorful than Ange and Spike replied, "Yeah, like that's a terribly hard feat."
Great male-bonding scene.
Thanks--I always thought Xander and Spike had that potential,  Well, I thought they all had unexplored potentia in their relationshipsl, hence this fic :D

"You're stubborn as hell."
There's something very nice and old fashioned about "gentleman caller".
I just really liked it--don't know why :D

(Also, there's something up with the site again--I got your review for the last chapter, but it isn't showing up for some reason...I would have responded to it properly otherwise)

Thank you.

"You're stubborn as hell."
really enjoyed what you have done with xander.  with my extreme dislike of the character, that is a surprising statement for me. very good read, thank you.
I feel that what I wrote for Xander is very true to his character.  I don't think he would have flipped out or been a bastard if he'd known.  I'm glad it worked so well, particularly for someone not so fond of him :)

Thank you :D

Yes, I'm aware.  The site is still wonky.  Please see my author's page, which will link you to my LJ where the completed version of this fic can be found.  Thank you.

"You know I wanna dance."
OH a sane Xander for a change!  Yes Buffy should have told them all and she MIGHT have had this sort of response at that point (guilt.....a real good motive for acceptance LOL).

Lovely!
Kathleen
Yeah, I never got that.  No one hated Spike or was on some kind of anti-Spike band wagon at that point...Oh, season six--a boatload of disappointments :P

Thanks Kathleen--I'm stupidly happy you enjoyed it :D

"You know I wanna dance."
What is this I see?  A grown up Xander?  Has Hell finally frozen over?  Glad to see that her friends took it well=)
Lol :D  I do believe that Xander wanted the best for his best friend, and if he knew and she'd been happy, I think it would have been okay in canon.

Thanks!

"You know I wanna dance."
awww, I loved that Xander said that.
Thank you :D

I thought it'd be a perfect ending--they'll all deal, and support Buffy.

"You know I wanna dance."
What a sweet, romantic story.  I'm kind of an angst lover myself, but I really like it when Buffy and Spike can find a bit of happiness without all the hurt.  And, I kind of like to think that if the sex in "Smashed" didn't happen, that maybe the two of them could have found something slightly healthier in terms of a relationship.  I really liked in the first chappy, that it was Spike that slowed the momentum and stopped things before they went to far.  He was the one that saw what Buffy was really worried about - and he does always seem to see what she doesn't want everyone to see.  And my favorite part so far (besides all the spuffy love) was that Xander managed to form a mature, adult reaction to seeing Spike and Buffy dancing.  I think it's great that he saw the importance of Buffy's laughing and chose her happiness over his own prejudice.  Cheers, I look forward to more.
I figured that s6 had enough angst for a lifetime in regards to any s6 fix I'd ever write ;)

I thought it was important for Spike to have the upper hand.  When the sex happened, he lost it, and Buffy was too unstable to see what was right there.  And I think that Xander truly would have been okay with it had he'd known, and if Buffy had been happy about it.  It's a shame he never got the chance, and we never got to see it.

And sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this is more than likely it for this little fic.  I've already done a s6 long fic, and have another that I need to finish, and the ending here felt...right.  They'll all deal, and Buffy is happy, and no one is hiding, so it's a high note, at least.  But who knows?  Maybe down the road there'll be a bit more...

Thank you :)

"You know I wanna dance."
D=  That's because you are clearly awesome here, Xander.  Total grown-up behaviour.  Yes, you'd prefer if they didn't, but if he makes her happy, it's all good.

Totally loving this fic.  Keep up the good work!
Thank you :D  I think that Xander (in canon) would have been cool about it as well, if actually given the chance.

And terribly sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this last chapter was, well probably the last chapter.  I went much further with this than I intended to go, but this is probably it.  I'm happy you enjoyed it though :)

"What is it that you want?"
Oh, I hope this goes better than the last time I saw them at the Bronze!
So far, I've a good feeling about this.

I'm glad you did, and hopefully I didn't disappoint.

Thanks :)

Very sweet and nice to see Buffy squirming too.
Yeah--being open and honest about her feelings were bound to make her uncomfortable, lol.

Thank you :D

I have the forum to thank for the plot bunny ;)

"What is it that you want?"
Yes...Don't know how long it would have taken her but she would have arrived there.  She kept going to him not just after the resurrection but from the time he was Glory's pinata and Buffy's rock.  To have him not be there would have left a large hole and she's a smart girl.

I wouldn't mind more of this.....scooby reaction and her remembering she is has a spine like she did when she put Quentin in his place in Checkpoint.  Hope your muse stays a while.

Excellent babe.
Kathleen
Yeah, one of the first places she went to after she was brought back, was away from her friends at the Magic Box just to go see Spike ( "Afterlife" ).  She sought him out right from the beginning (well, post resurrection, but she did always go to him in s5 for help).

I do have something else in mind for this, but I have to tread quite carefully.  This is the third s6 fic I've done (that's not a one shot), and one is still a WIP...but yeah, these instances more than likely wouldn't show the Scoobies, but I can't be sure.  Right now, my Spangel and Spillow aside, I was thinking of adding one more part to "Stir of Echoes."

But thanks!  I'm glad I was able to make your Spuffy day, lol :D

"What is it that you want?"
Very nice, SI.  I liked the way Buffy doesn't know exactly what she wants, but she's willing to let Spike show her the way.
Thank you :D

Yeah, I think it would've been better for all parties involved if everyone is allowed to stop and think.  Thinking is so very of the good :P

yay for continuing this.

I'm a suckers for fix thet happen before it all went to hell.

Kinda-shy-Buffy's cute and it's good to see Spike realize its all abpout the baby steps with her.
Ah yes--time and distance can give one all kinds of perspective.

Thanks so much--I'm glad you liked it :D

"What is it that you want?"
GREAT dialogue! Maybe it wasn't as "hot" as the smut recaps, but I think it was waaaaaaaaay more romantic.
I'm a romantic at heart, so it seemed like an interesting route to take.

Thank you so much :D

Buffy's wall was very nicely written.
Thank you :D

"Afraid to give me the chance?"
Yup....that is how it should have gone down.  She needed to want him and NOT have him at that point in time.  After she got her act together she could deal with her feelings.  As much as I love watching them together in S6 she really wasn't in a place to be what he needed and he wasn't strong enough to be what she needed to get what he deserved.

Lovely hon!  See you still can do Spuffy!  It's just a matter of writing it right and giving them both what they COULD have had.

Kathleen
Agree 110% Kathleen.  The messed up relationship we saw was all Maudlin Noxious' fault.  If Joss had been around, it would have been better. *sigh*

And lol, yes, I can still do Spuffy :P  Thanks so much darling ;)

I can feel the emotion in the dialogue.  Loved it.
Thank you--I'm glad it came through that way, and that you felt its intensity :)

"Afraid to give me the chance?"
oh this is good. Not many fics exploring S6 without the sex, not that i don't want the sex,  but it is a different and interesting angle.

Tell me it goes on please .

XD
Thank you :D

Um, goes on...I'm not sure.  Maybe.  Depends on Muse, really.  But, even if I don't get around to it, it ends on a hopeful note, at least (even if there is no guarantee she goes after him).  But that is an idea though--what if they, well Buffy, did wait, and let her feelings for him actually grow first?  Hmm...maybe there'll be more after all ;)

Wise words from Spike.
Yeah--if only, huh?

You didn't make Spike cry or try to bow to Buffy's whims =) I liked it, hard to find stuff like this (Well at least to me) You know any good stories where Spike is kinda like this Spike?
Thanks Scott.  I'm glad you liked it :D

Um...I'll email you.
