Thousand Kisses Deep by pfeifferpack JustAnotherReader 09/24/2011 07:14 pm Chapter 6
Sorry for not reviewing the other chapters. Very sweet story... I always wondered what happened to all those jewels... Blue Ahhh...so sweet! Loved it! And the logic of the vengeance makes sense in a circular way. It seemed to work in my mind. I imagine the Council (bane of demon's lives) would despise having their Slayer openly together with a notorious vampire. A sweet deal for the demon world. k great story - loved the way you ended it with the Halfrek coda. This is the way I would have liked things to go - great work! Thank you so much! Yes it would have made sense (to me at least) to go a route like this if whey had wanted Spike to get the soul and they all needed to have something shake them up that season! k “There’s a reason vampires can’t see themselves in a mirror. Too hurtful to see what’s reflected back, what you’ve become, how low you’ve gone. loved this line - well done! Thank you. That just seemed like something a souled Spike would snap to....the relief of not seeing that man in the mirror! k Niori 11/06/2009 06:37 pm Chapter 6 This story was great. I think there should have been a bit more begging for forgivness on Buffy's part about what she said to make Spike leave, but that's just my anti-Buffy feelings that arose from watching season six the first time. I also love how you had Xander grow up- it was nice and refreshing. Again, great story. I try to look at Buffy through Spike's eyes. He understood that much of her nastiness toward him wasn't personal...she was lashing out from her pain and depression and he was the easy target. As he said, "you always hurt the one you love," she was in a very bad place. I think she did need to SEE Spike and then she would realize more than just her own feelings for him but also how terribly she had treated him. Xander seemed to be maturing in S7 and I think this was the start of it (losing Anya). Thank you! K Belle 11/06/2009 04:33 pm Chapter 6 Great story! Always like happy endings! Oh yes. I love angst and H/C and dark stories too but ALWAYS must have a happy ending to satisfy!. k Pinch me, I'm so surprised that Angel fessed up. Really nice that Buffy came to her realization of love! Angel would usually cough up the truth when forced to do so LOL. Buffy is finally on to him. Yes, she had to lose Spike to see the hole it left in her life. k JustAnotherReader 09/24/2011 06:39 pm Chapter 3
Just a short note before I continue. Very well written. Tears were flowing in the Xander/Buffy scene. Thank you! Yes they both had someone in their lives who loved them unconditionally and they undervalued them. Now they have much in common and common ground for understanding too. k JustAnotherReader 09/24/2011 03:11 pm Chapter 2
Imagine Angelus in Spike's place after receiving a chip. *Shudder*. Spike was at least always upfront with his actions, even when he was still evil... Or rather, when he considered people as food and an occasional snack... Sometimes I think even season four Spike would have had problems actually killing the Scoobies. He got to know them and Spike's love and devotion is selective (used to be selective): he could never do what Angelus is capable of. Angelus goes deep into a person's life and destroys it inside out, Spike would start to feel for the person if he spent as much time with one victim. Thanks for the revelation of eyes finally opening. Yup, eyes needed opening indeed. k It was interesting seeing the events and emotions from Xander's point of view. Made me almost feel sorry for him--almost (he still has a lot to do to redeem himself from chapter 1!) Xander is a sad boy with much good in him Given his background it is amazing when he can rise to his better self actually. He is from an abusive home and was bullied through school. That does not excuse him but it makes his efforts to grow and mature admirable. He seemed to be maturing a lot in S7 of canon and I think his loss of Anya started the process. k JustAnotherReader 09/24/2011 02:34 pm Chapter 1
I've just read this and thought, "This story doesn't have nearly enough reviews." Cold, cold Buffy! Looking to see just how this wish is garnered. Yup, cold and frightened. She'll see that Spike has been far more than just an avenue for sex now that he is gone. K Lovely. I loved the use of the Cohen song title. Beautiful song and it really worked in the context you used it in. Well done! Thank you! I have always pictured Spike when I heard that song and I've wanted to use it for a Spuffy story for a long while, I finally got my chance. Happy you liked it. k I love your stories and am so pleased to see another one! But geez what a nasty Buffy and Xander you wrote in this chapter. It's a complment to your strong writing that at the moment I'd love to strangle them both! Of course, I know you'll redeem them eventually--right? Oh yes redemption will happen. The funny thing is that Buffy said many of the things I put in her mouth here just not all compressed into a couple of nasty events LOL. She was really troubled and I doubt she gave a thought to actually hurting Spike but she did. She said and did terrible things in her pain. Xander, too said many of those things (Entropy for one episode). All the characters (Spike included) were flawed, especially in S6 but none unredeemable. *blushes* I am tickled you enjoy my stories (and thank you for the heads up on the missing ones....all fixed now). I may well do angst or even dark stories from time to time but will always allow for a happy ending if not explicitly give one. I want my couple happy! Thank you! Kathleen | |||
