Dear Spike by BuffyMeetsSpike I was in the mood for something lighter but found this instead adn got so engrossed that I could not stop reading. Such pathos and love. So glad you liked it. I like a little pathos now and then. I'm not normally a fan of angst. But this is simpy heartbreakingly beautiful. This is, i think my favourite spuffy story ever. Everytime i read this I cry. I like to think they were re-united in heaven. Thankyou. Thank you so much. I am a big fan of angst myself, but I am glad I could draw you in too! Augh, the ANGST. I die. I die. Heartbreaking and beautifully written. Thank you so much! I have greatly enjoyed your stories as well, because I am a big fan of angst. Which I suppose is warped in the extreme. But I am so glad you liked it. Just promise to finish A Gift Unsought before you die! This is so beautiful - and so terribly sad. My heart aches for them. You do know how to serve up the angst, dear! It was also extremely well written, very in character & so close to Joss's intentions it feels like it could have happened just this way. Great job. I'm going in search of your other works now. Thank you for a lovely & very touching read. Thank you so much! I love my angst, I do. I love to read it, love to write it. Not sure why - maybe I just like my characters to have a worse day than me some times. But I am so glad you like it. Thanks for taking the time to review it. Heart breaking. Makes one want them both to find a together happy ever after in the ever after... I really hated the way season five of Angel went. It should have ended with Spike being the only survivor on his way to London and Buffy... or with Buffy and co riding to the rescue! Sigh http://www.tthfanfic.org/authors.php?no=12717&list=profile Thanks so much. When Spike didn't ditch Angel and Co and go to Buffy, I sort of wanted to leap through the screen and go upside his head. But I know, two networks, yada yada. Thank goodness for fan fiction! I don't know how I haven't read this till now, what a beautiful, heart-rending piece. Tears and hankies galore were used, how you manage to convey such pain and loss is truly amazing. I like where it ended, just to imagine how Angel would now feel about keeping Buffy and Spike apart, that they had loved each other, and that Buffy had moved on from him. Absolutely wonderful writing. Thank you so much for the review. This story just popped up in my head and would not be denied. I'm so glad you liked it. This is marvelous and heart-breaking. I could definitely see Buffy's life going this way. She generally has some sort of psychological breakdown after her more traumatic "wins", so this rang true for me. The idea of their journals lying side-by-side — all that is left of them — is really beautiful. Thank you so much! I thought she deserved her breakdown, but I wanted her to keep going as well. How heartwrenchingly sad. But beautiful. I hope there is to be a sequel with Angel reading Spike's journal... he really should learn who Spike was as he never understood him. You are the second person to suggest that. Now I really should start thinking about it. Hmmmm.. So poigantly heartbreaking. I cried all the way through it. It feels sorta respectful for Spike that Angel realized, through Buffy's journal, where her true feelings lie. You really did their love justice. thank you You are very welcome. So glad you liked it. behind blue eyes 01/02/2012 01:48 am One-shot Beautifully heartbreaking. Thank you so much for sharing. You are so welcome! Thanks for leaving the kind review. Beautifully done and so sad, really showed the futility of their separation. Thank you so much. The angst and character death warnings didn't do this justice. I cried the whole way thru. This was beautiful. The if only's were enough to make your heart break. If only he had contacted her when he got his body back. If only she had come for Dana. If only she had told someone even Angel that she loved Spike. Thanks again for your thoughtful review, as always. Sorry to make you cry! vchan 01/01/2012 05:49 am One-shot You evil you! You got me crying!! this was beautiful but soooo sad! To get myself to stop I had to think that at least they probably got together again in heaven...... You evil you! I am so glad you liked it! Sorry about the need for tissues. Saggit 12/31/2011 07:56 pm One-shot Quiet and devastating. Economically written. Good Buffy voice. No style drawing attention to itself. You aim for your goal, and you get there, creating maximum emotional damage along the way. Putting a humanized Angel in for the last read of the diary--become diaries--was very nicely done. Really fine! Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. I am so glad you liked it! Happy New Year! cheryl 12/31/2011 06:22 pm One-shot What a fabulous, well written story. Thank you SO much for your efforts! Thanks so much for taking the time to leave a review. Happy New Year! Jane 12/31/2011 02:46 pm One-shot Sad fic, still don't understand why anyone listens to Andrew. Sniff..... Yeah, not sure where this sad little thing came from, but there it is. Hope you liked it anyhow! tucker 12/31/2011 01:56 pm One-shot Thanks for this - so beautiful and so perfectly in character (in my view of how their dynamic post-Chosen should have been rather than Joss'). Thank you so much! And happy new year! | |||
