Aw, that's sweet. I admit I kept expecting Spike to kind of 'break through', but I guess the whole point is that he didn't, he just stayed hazily in the background, gently affecting Bill's behaviour while Buffy adjusted to loving the whole man.

Good job, Bill!  Now he's saying "mate"?  It sounds like Spike is really taking over.   Minor correction.  The word you meant was "extraordinary" and not "ordinary" since Buffy surely is not ordinary.

Um.. Of course I knew it, but it's not until Buffy tries to list her nearest and dearest that it hits home just how restricted her social circle is, just by very nature of the life of a slayer.
And it that a little co-parenting I see starting there?

And I like Jack. Someone recognises Buffy for who and what she is, and appreciates her for it. I bet that doesn't happen very often nowadays, with the former population of Sunnydale scattered to the four winds...

There are indeed a coplicated situation, but Joyce is trying to be helpful in her own way.

Joyce takes after her father in that she talks a lot of sense.

I love the idea that Spike's love for Buffy would find a way back.

We do have some answers then. It does complicate things for Buffy and Bill though. There is a lot for them to think about.

I had the same thought about Bill and the accident, that something from Spike came into him, not sure exactly what though.

Idly wonder whether something supernatural happened to Bill when he had that accident and was in the coma for so long... the character similarities are a little too perfect match for random genes in his ancestry...

This was done well. Buffy's reaction to seeing a man that reminds her so much about Spike. We got some small glimpses into her life. It will be interesting to see how this will play out.

I remember Hearts breaking even very well, but I had to go and re-read The last Goodbye. 
Okay, definitely intrigued. 
Is this Spike shanshued or is it a descendent of William's before he was turned, or a cousin of sorts?
