Thanks for the compliment. I'm working on more frequent updates. Chapter 13 will be the final chapter in Book One and I plan to post that late next week when I get back in town. Book Two is already about half complete, so look for the pace to pick up! Thanks again for reviewing. :)

Thank you so much for taking the time to review. Sorry it's been so long since the last update. My life has been in crisis mode for some time now due to external family events and it just sucks not to have the time I want to write. This story is composed of several books and I actually wrote most of the 2nd book and then realized that it wasn't the starting point for this story and had to back up a bit. There are only 3 more chapters to the first book and I've gotten them completely outlined. I'll try to find time to get them written and posted as soon as I can. I greatly appreciate your interest in my story. Thanks!

Thanks for the interest. It's been a rough year, and I've really missed being able to work on this story. It was the first idea I ever had for a fanfic piece and it holds a special spot, ya know? Happy to say that things have calmed down some and I hope to have this one updated on a more or less regular basis from here on out.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Although I prefer Spike greatly, I do like Angel myself - just not with Buffy. The two of them suck together, always bringing out the worst in each other. On his own, Angel is such a flawed hero, that you almost can't help but root for him to find his way and become a better person. Thanks for the kudos on my writing ability also...Made my day! :)

I agree that Giles and Anya make more sense than Xander and Anya, and that will become apparent as the story progresses. However, I'm not going to throw them together overnight as I want their relationship to develop naturally. And I always thought that Spike and Giles had too much in common not to become friends on some level. :P

That was a fun chapter to write. I didn't want him to drop a pile of money in her lap, so I had to decide what she needed most...no mortgage and a good job! Thanks for taking the time to review again. :)

From one author to another, the reviews make such a difference to your motivation to stay focused and finish when life is pulling you in every other direction. I have thoroughly enjoyed several of your pieces, by the way. The Right Thing and Lying Eyes kept me on edge. Saving Grace kept me in tears. And I really like Blood Bound so far. Mischievous Buffy is an appealing character.

This piece is my first fanfic and it actually started with the Book Two, which we'll get to soon... In the course of writing that , I realized the back story was needed. Hence Book One and the Kindred Series. I've actually got most of Book Two done, and there are only 2 chapters left in Book One. Will try to get those last 2 chapters up soon.
