You've got me totally hooked on this story. While, I can hardly wait for Spike to show up, I think the pacing of the story is perfect; unhurried but not stagnant, a sort of reflection of Buffy's emotional state - she's deeply grieving but slowly moving forwards. I also like your characterizations of Angel and Faith in this story. Angel - creepy, stalkerish, possesive, a little scary - is also sympathetic. Faith is naturally wary, but she's trying to make real connections and growing up.
Please, please update!

Just discovered this fic. Very interesting, definitely different storyline. Love the way you're exploring the emotional depths of all these characters. Gotta say that Angel's weird mood swings are creeping me out. Can't wait to find out what's going on there. And really, really want to know if Buffy's carrying Spike's child. Faith's prayer and the pain and fear it showed made me cry. I really like the thoughtfulness that Buffy showed in thinking of Giles and his loss as well. What an emotionally powerful chapter, thanks for the updates.

Excellent chapter. Lost of heightened emotions.

I think Faith and Robin are going to be okay, and since he heard her, he's prepared now for when she does tell him. Their story is so sweet and tender.

In contrast to the sorrow, guilt, etc. that's all washing over the Scoobies again at seeing what they did to their hometown....it's a horrid mess. I hope they find things worth keeping. I always thought it was silly not to load their most precious possessions into the bus before the battle. There was no guarantee they'd be able to go back to the house afterwards.

Well they had no clue that the town was going to fall into a huge crater.

Giles and Robin simply thought to give everyone a couple changes of clothes and a few personal things just in case their plan backfired and they had to get the hell out of dodge to regroup.

Faith is so due for sweet and tender. She's never really had that in her life and she's always kept everyone at arms length.

Her story is going to come out very soon. Just about everyone is going to have their lives spilled out for all to see...the good, the bad and the ugly. Think they're all gonna come away unscathed?

Glad for Faith, that was Robin's reaction. It will definately will be easier on her with his love and support. So many memories, So little time. Good thing that Angel went with Giles, less chance of him trying something with her when no ones looking. The tree was definately a reminder of her past from Angel to Spike and the back porch where they spend many hours talking or in silent repose, hope it's also there for her. Good memories. Wonderful update. Thanks for the great read.

There is such sadness with FaithÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s uncertainty over how to prepare for a slumber party. I love how Dawn was able to include her and make her feel apart of things without it seeming unusual.

Yeah, poor girl had it rough. Now that the Scoobies have gotten ahold of her, there's gonna be a whole lot more changes for the dark slayer.

good that Angel's not all creepy, stalker guy around Buffy during the trip. Not a Faith fan but since she's had a hard life(most of it her own making) glad that she's having some before she had to contemplates motherhood. Buffy should be haunted by the memories of the best thing that's ever been in her life. thans for the update. another gret chapter.

Kinda hard to be creepy guy when there are witnesses around ;)

Angel is gonna take a small turn for the worse really really soon.

I've always loved Faith. Even when she was all evil and I was wanting to punch her out, I could still see the vulnerability and the longing in her.

Faith is pregnant, with her past I can just image how scared she might be at the whole situation, in particular being the same type of parent her mother was.

Faith's past is about to be revealed and we get to find out exactly why Faith turned out the way she has.

She's a favorite of mine. I could relate to her on so many levels so I decided to bring her to the front and give her her due.

I really enjoyed this chapter. And the Buffy-Giles moment was very sweet. I hope she figures out what is going on with herself soon. And I hope something happens with Angel soon, he is being even more cringe worthy then usual.

Yeah, Buffy and Giles are both emotionally reserved with certian people, including each other.

I love that Buffy realized that her father doesn't hate her, and that she and Faith are getting along. I really hope that Angel somehow or another gets caught for sticking his nose where it doesn't belong. His complete disregard for her privacy is horrible.

Faith is going to get the chance to become the girl she never got to. She'll still be mouthy and in your face but she'll also realize the softer parts of herself that no-one bothered to see or nurture.

Evil, rotten cliffie writer! I just got caught up with this story and am wondering why they went to Cleveland instead of Florida. Still have no idea WTF Hank is. More story please.

Muahahaha....got to tell the story as it swirls around in my brain.

I have a seperate pages with all of these ideas..its funny really. I started out with this story in my head and as I picked over parts of it, my mind took me on little detours here and there, thus giving the whole story an actual plotline and as believable as the actual lives Joss himself created with the show.

whoa... Hank's a vamp? how come Buffy forgot? how come Angel not sense him? how come Buffy didn't notice? is he evil? oh common don't killl us with all this suspense.

Sometimes traumatic events get locked away in our subconscious, as is the case with Buffy. It was the beginning of her emotional wreckage...Angel wasnt the first guy to scar her and break her heart.

Why did Angel's report state that he only had one daughter? Why did they leave out Dawn? Or is Dawn not Hank's kid? hmmmm...that would open up a whole new can of worms now wouldn't it?

This has been an interesting story so far, and BuffyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s response to her father was perfect. I am very curious as to the reasons behind his current actions and his previous non-actions. I found AngelÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s reactions to Buffy very interesting, his response to Spike in her blood, and his thought of reclaiming her. I am looking forward to reading this story, and I hope you update soon.

i like the way you're writing angel..it's realistic,no bashing...i feel bad for him at times, and hate him at times...but just because of the annoying git that he is, not because you're making him out to be totally evil or something :) great update :)

Yeah...unfortunately I kinda like Angel but Im not gonna paint him out to be a hero or anything.

I want him to be as realistic as possible...with just a little Angel bashing for good measure ;)

So does this mean that Spike claimed Buffy? Or is he now part of her due to the amulet? Or am I totally off base as to why Angel was tasting Spike in her blood?
