I wonder what Spike will have to do to get back to himself and how will he feel about Dawn's "deal'? More story please.

Great chapter and i actually like your Xander - something that hardly ever happens! Hmmm, Dawn's deal is very interesting.
I know. I usually don't like Xander much myself with the way the show portrayed him as being so incredibly narrow-minded and bigoted. I just had to change that. You'll learn more about Dawn's deal in the next couple of chapters which will be out soon. Thanks for the feedback! :)

I like Dawn, nobody knows that she is a lot older than they remember and I guess a lot of experiences richer.

I promise the next couple of chapters will be up shortly. Now that my house is finished - at least until I start the back porch expansion project anyway - I'm able to spend time on much more enjoyable activities. As compared to painting the entire interior of my house by myself say, there's really no contest! Thanks for the great comments! :)

I love this friendship with Xander and William. I've always liked Xander.
One of the few things I hated about the show was how they only allowed select new friends into the inner circle. How long did it take Tara to get accepted? And Anya & Spike were always on the fringes. So, I'm having fun with new friendships and relationships. Glad you're enjoying the ride. More soon. :)

I understand Zander wanting to protect Will's privacy, but for all they know it was Angelus who raped him. And they have no idea if Angel actually left town. By not saying anything he's left everyone vulnerable to an out of control Angel or Angelus.

what an excelletn chapter...i would have loved to see xander adn spike actually be friends, if xander could have ever been open to the possibility....and i'm like, 'go xander, stake angel now!'....i can't stand angel, i hate him, how awful for poor spike/william...an excellent update, and i cant wait for more :)
Wasn't it odd that the male characters in the group never really became friends although the females were BFF? I never really understood the logic there. The closest they came was a lame attempt with Riley and Xander being semi-friends and that was laughable at best. Glad you liked the update. My life is getting back to normal...my house will be done this weekend. So, back to regular updates shortly. :)

Sorry about that delay between posting. I'm working on the next chapter now, and my house should be completely finished by this weekend. So, I'll be back to regular updates shortly. :P
I just read both Books of the series in one shot. I love it! I hope you plan to continue it. Or if you have please let me know where I can find it! It was great. I would love to see where Dawn tells everyone that her and Spike had been gone for 5 years instead of 5 weeks. And what does Dawn know that the others don't. Xander surprised me in a good way. Angel went off the deep end even with his soul. But that isn't too hard for me to believe he always seemed like he was barely hanging on to it to begin with.

This story just keeps getting better and better....love the way you work in some past events with Angelus in Williams life....just very well done.
Really appreciate you taking the time to review and share your thoughts. I enjoy writing this story, and the "haunted past" was the starting point for this particular tale. Good to know that others like it also. Hope you'll continue to enjoy where I'm going with it next. :)

Made him a doc....well that sure is a first I think. At least the first I read that William was a doc and it wasn't AU/human story.

wonderful update! poor buffy, not used to the non-attention...lol
Buffy should have been smacked down more often on the show by people she actually would have listened to, but as that didn't happen... I've taken the liberty of putting her in her place and making her learn hard lessons in each of my stories. But I do like Buffy, so she eventually becomes a much better person for having experienced it. :)
lol...love spike's misconception about what sort of place buffy's house is...hope they find him soon, this is very intriguing :)
I originally had included Spike's note to Buffy in this section, but decided the reactions of the others were funnier without it. Glad you're enjoying Book Two. :)

This chapter is actually where the original story idea began, and I was several chapters into it before I realized that the back-story was needed. Hence Book One came about. I hope you continue to enjoy Book Two. :)
