I just finished reading this lovely story and I wanted to congratulate you on how well you translated the characters.  They all seemed to be true to themselves and you never decended to bashing any of them, they were all complex and the story never seemed rushed yet it all worked out and everyone seemed to grow from the beginning.  So, I really enjoyed reading it.

Great reading this story again - I read it a long time ago.  It's a great alternative to how Willow and all of them come back from the horrors they imposed to one another in the dark times of season 6.

I love that Buffy pointed out to Willow her manipulating people was her real problem. The ending had me tearing up with Buffy going past her anger and reconnection with Willow. I loved Spike and Dawn at the end. Thanks so much for such an enjoyable story.

I like the way that you provided resolution for the characters, just a bit bittersweet. Very much in the style of the show. You did a great job in making me think it was Dawn. I'm not certain that I fully understand Willow's reasoning for how cursing Spike brings Buffy and him together. Do like the way Buffy finally has her relationship with Spike and how it "could" have been done on the series. Well done.

I love that Spike left Xander a note apologizing. Buffy’s trust in Spike is so refreshing and I loved his comment about how he wouldn’t give her up to bite people.

I am glad that Spike finally told Buffy about the pain he is in. I looks like Xander is finally coming to terms with some of his actions and I loved his thoughts about Anya and Riley and this line, ‘It was time he trusted her with her heart’, concerning Buffy.

I loved Giles’ reaction to Spike’s story and getting interested in it in spite of himself. I’m glad that Dawn seems to be thawing out a bit towards Spike. Thanks for the update, I enjoyed it.

I like that Giles realized that his leaving affected everyone and not just Buffy, and that he hadn't been there for them like he should all along. I loved Buffy and Spike's interaction and the sweetness of it. I am looking forward to the next chapter and Giles's reaction to Spike being with Buffy.

I liked Buffy's talk with Xander and the truths she pointed out. I also liked that she told him that Spike was her friend and her thoughts later when she realized that the only time she had revoked his invite to her house was after he had told her how he felt. Buffy’s guilt towards Giles shows what a good heart she has. Now if she could only reach Dawn. Thanks for the update, I really enjoyed it.

I'm glad you made Buffy a stronger, more independent character in this story. It always bothered me in the series that, for a powerful heroine, she was so ruled by what others thought of her.

You really showcased some 'truths' from the show in Spikes thoughts. In particular how Angel was always good, Angelus was the one that was evil, and Spike was always evil, and if he did good it was only for selfish reasons. I really liked that Buffy and Spike finally got the first meeting over with. I am looking forward to where they go from here.

Wonderful chapter. I don't see where you get on with this chapter yet but your characterization of Spike is hilarious.

I feel so bad for Spike, so many bad things happened while he was gone and the worst is Tara's death. He keeps expecting Buffy to show up to punish him, and she doesn't even know he is back. And then there is the person who left him the little gift. All this on top of his new soul, he has a lot going on. I hope you will be able to update soon.
