Well, they all know who she feels comfortable with, now don't they, and I love it! She does have Spike and he'll help her through this, just like everything else. All she has to do is listen to that little voice of reason inside her. Thanks for the update, really enjoying this, wonderful chapter.

I love how Spike is so tender with Buffy in this fic, showing that side of a soulless being's love. I always liked stories that went into the source of the Slayer's power, which was why I liked the little growling for dominance with Spike and feral Buffy early on.
I'm glad Buffy isn't in denial about Spike anymore. Too, I like that Spike is the one Buffy told about Heaven. I can't wait to see his reaction to the Scoobies after seeing the pain they put his beloved Slayer in. Violence? Those scathing and true words of his? I hope Willow and Xander are made to understand exactly how selfish and arrogant they were, and how much control they expect to hold over Buffy. Giles is surprisingly understanding and I hope he stays around for learning about Buffy's origins and how that affects Spike and how they could react to each other.

I really like this chapter. Spike's silent comforting of Buffy, shown several times in the show, was my favorite part of their interactions. Showing the 'evil, obsessed' vampire was more interested in just holding her, and Buffy wanting to be held, reveals a lot about both of them.
I am looking forward to the Council's explanations about the feral side of the Slayer that was revealed by Buffy. I wonder if we'll get truth or a mixture of truth and plausible lies? I'm just sure the VAMPIRE Slayer is going to learn something that affects everyone, especially her relationship with the vampire! And the hot, leather-wearing one, too, not Tall Dark and Brooding.

I like this Buffy -- I hope she gives the others some of the same treatment that Giles enjoyed!

A very poignant scene for her. It showed just how lost she is and how much pain she's in. Love that Spike is the one that can comfort her as much as she can be at this time. Giles is not going to be happy when he finds out about this. Wonderfully done chapter.

She could have used this outlet in canon...get that anger and despair out in the open. Spike wouldn't have had to suffer as much because of her pent up emotions later.

A powerful chapter! I think it's a good release of the inner angst to pound it outside of oneself instead of holding it in and making things harder for others. Now it's possible for some real communication.

this change seems abrupt, but the more i think about it, the more i think that's probably how it would be...buffy just taking time to come to terms with everything, and then, even though she's not really "better" yet, logically deciding that she needed to start *acting* better in order to get them to stop being so worried...great chapter, can't wait to see what her interaction with spike and dawn is like now :) great job, love :)

I find the idea of Buffy reacting on Slayer instincts fantastic. Also, she can rely on her feelings about Spike without details of memories and thoughts of denial getting in the way. I find feral Spike or feral Buffy very interesting to read, as they both have a bit of animal that still has emotions in them. Good work and I hope for an update soon!

GO Giles and put the rest of the Scoobies in their place. And I just love how for Buffy right now it is just all about feeling safe first with Spike and then with Dawn. That is really what they all get.

Spike seemed to be working himself into a frenzy with the doubts and fears that buffy will go back to hating him. I'm glad he seemed to gain a measure of calm at the end with his realization that he would do whatever he can to help them because they are his family. Buffy seems to be settling down now that it's just them, if her allowing Dawn to wash her is any inclination.

It cost Spike some broken bones but at last they are both save for now. Xander is very hostile towards Spike even if he was the only one Buffy let near her. Well that was the reason for his hostility this day I guess.

hmmm...xander might be presenting a problem, later, eh? but at least the others are at least wise enough to allow buffy the comfort she needs from spike...i like this version of willow, much less hateful and annoying than the season 6 canon version...
and poor buffy, it breaks my heart to see her like this, too...poor spike, too, dawnie needs to do something about his back...he needs blood or something, because that tower is a pretty high fall.. :(
