I think maybe the saving the day will lessen the grounding though, don't you? And if she doesn't save the day, well, they'll probably all be dead, so no grounding at all!

Would you believe that in my first draft, the entire fight between Buffy and Vamp Buffy was SILENT? I was so wrapped up in writing the action, I just neglected to write dialogue. Then I went back and read it and went, "That's not right. The quippiest girl in the world is fighting her snarky evil twin, and they don't talk?"

Yeah, she needs an invitation... that's why Spike figured they'd all be safe if they stayed in the house.

I don't really write too much Angel as the bad guy... while I was never on the Bangel bandwagon, I don't really dislike the guy (though I do get some amusement out of injuring him...).

And I love writing Anya - she can be difficult, because there's a delicate balance in her frankness that can come off as the author trying too hard - but she can be really fun, too (and she says all the things you wanna say but don't know how).

Hmmm... didn't mean to confuse you. They're not actually doing the spell from Primeval (as will be evident when you see it done), just using the "merging for more power" concept.

As far as I could understand it, the First Slayer spell required the four components (hand, mind, spirit, heart) - but it didn't matter WHO the four people were, as long as one of them was a Slayer (I assume) because the power doesn't come from the spell's participants, but from the First Slayer.

What Willow's suggesting now is to choose someone with power (i.e. Dawn with all her Key energy) to merge with and use *that person's* power.

Hope that makes sense...

She is kind of like Glory, except bitier... and with an intimate knowledge of exactly who Buffy is and how she thinks... which can't bode well for our heroes.

Oh, I think she realizes that alterna-Spike was probably the one to turn her - but she still doesn't really trust this Spike either. I mean, he did recently chain her up and threaten to let Dru eat her unless she admitted to having feelings for him. But she's gonna have to learn to trust him if she wants to get through this...

I think, even if he doesn't like them, he knows that Buffy - if she weren't a vampire - would feel absolutely horrible if she killed them. Plus, they're not ALL bad... he kinda likes them, 'cept Xander.

Interesting idea, but Wishverse Buffy didn't get turned... she was killed by the Master. And it was a neck-snapping, so even if Spike had been there, I doubt he'd have been able to turn her before she died.
