It is a really sad fic, tragic even because I think the base story is everyone's fear. That someone they love is dieing, yet there is nothing that they can do to save them.
Really good story, I would write an alternate ending, one where Spike's invite isn't revoked and he gets there to late to save her life, but offers her eternity with him.... just the muse prancing through my mind!

You said in one of your replies that you don’t get much feedback because of how dark and depressing this is, but I think everyone’s just insane. This was so beautiful and I’d love to read a follow up, maybe from Spike’s POV or maybe from neither one of them, as an outsider looking in on both of them. So sad and so beautiful :’( Thankyou.

Sadly, I do not plan on writing any sequels on this one, but you never know what muse may end up doing. Thanks again!

Thank you! I haven't gotten a lot of feedback about this story from any of my sites, but I kinda expected that since it is so sad and dark. So, that said, I really appreciate you taking the time to not only read it but comment as well!
So sad she felt this was her only option but hated that Spike had to witness it. Wonderfully written. *sniff* Thanks for sharing it.

A bleak decline for Buffy.
Very much so. In the show, she was forced to always be so strong no matter what she was going through, and I for one think that would have a toll on anyones mental health in the long run. Thank you for the review, Lou!

Oh, gosh, this is beautiful. I really feel for her and Spike, and I hope Spike heard her!
In my mind, Spike heard Buffy and probably went on a very long drunken/killing spree afterwards! LoL! Thank you for the review!
wow...that was so sad and intense...i have tears in my eyes...and to think of poor spike, wanting to help her but unable to get in...wow, that's so tragic...beautifully written, love ;)
