This was a just right ending considering how it started and the things that transpired in between.  In other words, they did not have time to work things out.  It's a new beginning.

 

Well done. So many nice little touches to this story, like humanSpike's utter disgust at his vampire self, and Xander's equal-opportunity evil-magnetism. I very much enjoyed it, and I think you left it at a good place.

I like this story a lot and think you did a great job contrasting the two realities. I think the ending worked really well and I liked the uncertainty of their path.

Wow! Spike and the baby are there. Can't wait to find out why they went there and why all of this is happening. Will Spike see what could be for him and Buffy if things were different. A human Spike. Will our Spike want to change his destiny to have this as well? He still has Williams memories, if vamps didn't have those memories when they were turned, they wouldn't remember about their families and loved ones from their human days. If William memories hadn't still been with him, he wouldn't have wanted to turn his mother out of love, he wouldn't have remembered her at all, right? Nice to see the Bot caring for Buffy, enough to want to defend her, even from Willow. Great update, thanks.

Glad William got to talk to her, make her understand just a bit about what's going on inside of him as a demon. William was never gone, just not able to do everything he wants with the demon in place. This is a great story. Love how you're showing both Buffy's, the similarities of both Spikes. Demon or human, he loves her.

I thought the section between Spike and Dawn was absolutely pitch-perfect. Funny, tender, real, just like the two of them. They both called each other on things that need work, and that was great to read. I also love that ourBuffy is doing some thinking,too. It's just weird to hear Spike talking like Angel, "it's bad enough I have to remember, let alone be blamed." What are your thoughts on the 'verse explanation of what happens when a person becomes a vampire? I always thought it seemed a little too simplistic, but if that part of your story is strictly canon, I'll buy it. But I kinda get the feeling otherSpike is protesting a little too much. And in the last reviews, I really agree with what you said, about Buffy pushing away the normal things that made her happy and wallowing in the normal crappy things. I know that her family and friends keep her stabilized as a slayer, but it's the other stuff that I don't think she needs, like trying to be what she's not (nice, normal girl) cause Buffy's really fantastic just as she is. I mean, I don't think she should try to put herself in a box. Am I rambling? Yes. Anyway, I like this story a lot, and I'm looking forward to what comes next.

I like Vampire Spike better than Human Spike... he is just like Angel in the way he pretends it "wasn't him".

Don't know why, but I really, really want thinks to go real bad for the happy world. I guess because I think the people there are a bit too fake, and I want the big reveal that everything isn't happy, that there is big trouble.

What ever Spike does, it always involves Dawn. That's been the whole problem with Buffy, she's always wanted normal, but she isn't normal. Even this Buffy has to see it. She's with who she's meant to be with, in either world! Hope Buffy gets to see William in Spike, if she's around him long enough. Great chapter, thanks.

Nuts to Dawn - we love Dubl Spuffy. Interesting how Other Buffy can talk to Vampire Spike. Maybe she can knock some sense into that thick skull.

I wouldn't think for a second that Spike has stopped loving Dawn; I don't believe that is in his chemical make-up, and I wouldn't be surprised that you feel the same way. However, I totally agree that Spike would prefer to leave Dawn back in Sunnydale. She would be sulky and angry for a bit, but she would no doubt enjoy herself with the Scoobies afterwards.

I enjoyed this chapter, and I like how even though non-canon Buffy (well, the least canon Buffy) may love Spike, she still doesn't understand how he can be loved as a soulless vampire. Also, great job in making her feel miserable there too. I often wondered how being ripped of heaven could be the entire problem, seeing as in S7, she was pretty much fine. If her heavenly problems were the total issue, she shouldn't have been able to have recovered so quickly.

I like the travelling around the world, after all how can she repeatedly save the world from one spot.

Will Buffy be willing to leave without Dawn is the question, or her friends, but I don't think she will say much about leaving her friends.

I don't know, I get the feeling our Buffy isn't as normal-wanting as other Buffy. But I think you're right on the money with the whole Dawn thing. Spike is like Dawn's third irresponsible vacating dad, after Hank and Giles. Can't wait for next chappie.

I hope Spike points out that he has been attempting to give her normal, but Buffy keeps pushing for isolation and the mundane.

My only thought would be that.. the shower scene, where AU Buffy breaks down to the point where she goes to talk to Spike, felt a bit rushed. I personally enjoy emotional moments- good, bad, ugly or pretty, and like to savor them :D

Definitely a learning experience and eye opening to both Buffys. 

 

So not fair to this Spike. AU Buffy fell in love with him after he was human. She doesn't think she can have normal with another vampire. I hope they both learn from this and Xander and Andrew, ewww! Willow and Tara, I can see, but Andrew, that's just to freaky. I don't know who else though, maybe Richard. Love the Giles and Anya pairing, ever since the Tabula Rosa. Two more to go. Very well done, blending these two dimensions.

Buffy just doesn't GET Spike at all, does she? In any dimension. I'm at the point of wondering why Other!Spike is with Other!Buffy at all with her attitude the way it is.

Amazing what a difference in a span of time makes dimensionally!  The other Buffy is even more clueless than our Buffy.

Ohhhh, the other Buffy's so convinced that they're so different, is she? Will be refreshing when she gets the wind knocked out of her by all he could be without the change.
