great to read this again - I really like this short format, wonder if you might feel better about doing more Spuffy work if you did more short pieces.  So much emotional content and exploration of specific themes can be done with the short story.

If you think you might like to work with some short pieces (however, since my site is not Adult Only it would have to not be heavy sexual) I would love to post some for my Buffy 12 Years Project at my whedon world gallery site - I would do images for them or maybe doing something with a "letters" format might interest you.

I am glad that you will try to finish your other works - especially with how the Comic Seasons are going, the FF Spuffy and Bufyverse readers are needing the FF writers to carry on with works influenced from the series -

let me know if you are interested in doing some short pieces here -

Loved it. It is nice to see that a male writer was able to voice Spike so well. Sometimes, as a female writer, I wonder if I get him right.

Now, I think I have a template follow, if I get stuck.

By the way, thanks for having Buffy stay...
Thanks for taking the time to read Songs of Lament, hopefully you'll love the sequel as well. And the one following that. Thanks for your review, the only reason I'm as good as I am is because I'm still an avid reader, so thank you.

Daniel - here are the links to some of the images that you might like - your story has inspired me to explore their haunted and emotional trauma again - Unlike so many viewers, I loved Season Six and the powerful and dramatic work these two fine performers accomplished as well as the writers - Thank you again for your fine story.

Hey thanks for your review, I'll definitely check these out ASAP. I know I'm not a known writer, but it's definitely cool to know I inspired someone.

I really love and admire this piece - a powerful and intelligent piece of work - speak so perfectly to their relationship. Not quite sure that I would have ended as you have, being more but it makes a good connection to the series later episodes.

Read this before and have been doing a series of digital studies - realize that your piece started me working with this theme and Dead Things again.

May I use excerpts from your story, giving credit and links with my images at my whedon world gallery site? I will post link to images later for you to see them-

I love your use of langauge and your visual quality - Please keep doing more work with these characters and others from Buffyverse - you make a outstanding contribution to this group of writers -
Feel free to use what you need and thanks.

I liked this story, and I liked the idea. It's a very plausible idea... but I think it could have been fleshed out better. It seems to be very strong in the beginning, kind of stutter in the middle, and just sort of fizzle at the end... Spike's emotion shows through and that's always good... although I think his character would have handled the "telling Buffy off" part differently... and Buffy might have FELT what her reaction in this story was, but her character, imo, wouldn't have shown it immediately like that. I think it's a good story but seems to be missing a lot of plot in the middle. It's almost as though the story gets nervous in the middle and kinda just shoots to the end without really going through the details in the middle. lol

Very good idea and well-written, however.

thanks.

This is completely out of character. I don't recall Spike sobbing like a little baby because Buffy was a meanie to him. Mostly I remember him beating the crap out of her(a fight that he started btw), telling her she came back wrong, that he knew the only thing better than killing a slayer was fucking one, she belongs in the dark with him, screwing Anya, and Spike trying to rape Buffy. :P What a fucking prince. LOL
Okay Ari. Here's what I don't get. I guess Spike didn't cry when Buffy died, or in FFL or even in Dead Things when she breaks up with him. Now since you're prolly one of them ludicrous Bangel lovers, why do you waste your time criticizing other people's work. And if you watched the show at all , and this is what you think, you probably have the depth perception of Ray Charles.

Painful exploration of Spike's emotional state. Yet he wakes to hope.
Thanks.

This was really drenched in Spike's emotion. Loved it!
With this fic I used real anger and hurt from previous relationships and got this.

very nicely done, love, very intense and emotional and heartbreaking...great job :)
thanks, DoS. I just kinda wanted something from Spike's POV, during the S6 fiasco, so I kinda came up with this.
