Great update

If I was Buffy I'd be consumed with rage that Forrest was going to be getting away with it. IMHO It's true Spike contributed to the situation, but he wasn't responsible for Buffy being drugged, her behaviour when she came on to him or Forrest's reaction to seeing them together. All he did was take advantage of a situation that was not of his making. OK, so he made a mistake, but everyone makes mistakes and Buffy manages to forgive everyone else for doing Bad Things to her, so why not Spike? He is so genuinely penitent.
I love that you've brought more chipped vamps into the picture, I'm surprised they didn't on the show. I expect they rationalised it that all the others perished in the big fight in 'Primeval'.

This story, as always, is amazing. I almost missed this update because I usually check Vampire's Kiss where you haven't posted it yet, but something compelled me to come to BSV. I'm really looking forward to the resolution. If you don't mind, please dont forget to update Vampire's Kiss. Fantastic story. You're a great writer.

Damn, I'm addicted to this fic! I couldn't go a day without looking for update and here it is! Great job! I love your Buffy(and me loving Buffy?!-that says a lot)! Hope, she forgives him. I love Spike(now and forever) and he deserves it. But if I had to be honest I'm not sure your Spike deserves forgivness but I stil hope he gets it!

Good progression to the story.  Kinda sad for Spike right now as he's longing for Buffy.    Looking forward to updates.

I liked the fact that there are other chipped vamps about - more believable than Spike being the only one. 

But Spike and Buffy's situation is very difficult.  Once trust is betrayed, things are never the same again.

Ohh, what's she going to do? Can't wait to see. Her reunion of sorts with Spike was so painful and bittersweet. Beautiful writing, Eowyn (as always).

This is just a perfect, at least for me, description of how all that love and emotional connection between turned into such a tragic condition.  It's the lack of trust and deep emotional scars that Spike and his passion, along with hers, left behind.  Their only hope is that Buffy can look at her contribution to how things happened that night, try to accept and understand how they both played contributed to that horrible night.   I don't offer this as an excuse for Spike's behavior, but only as a possible way for her to try and understand and maybe eventually be able to forgive him. 

With deep love, forgiveness, sorrow, pain and joy and peace all are vital parts -

I'm glad to see an update to this fic, it's definitely one of my faves :D .  I love the pace and progression of the story, and can't wait to see how everything turns out.  Thanks for sharing.
