Chapter: Twenty-five

Giles should count himself lucky that Buffy still has anything to do with him!
I imagine they had to spend some time and energy repairing the relationship to get to this point.

Oh dear, getting worried about Buffy now. Has she come to the stage of weary acceptance of futility that gives her that deathwish that Spike warned her about in 'Fool for Love'?
Hurry up and come back to her, Spike!
I think she's just become very accepting of the idea that when you die isn't necessarily under your control, so no sense in worrying about it.  Thanks for reading and commenting. :)

Nice Willow/Buffy interaction.  Can't wait for Spike to show up again.  Or...nah, you wouldn't be having Buffy meeting in an afterlife.  LOL!
Nah - I wouldn't. I've only done that once, and my beta made me hide it in an epilogue that's only found on my site. lol  Although, I think we can safely assume that if Spike doesn't come back, that is what would happen eventually. I have read a few fics where she doesn't meet him again until she dies and they'e very affecting when done well.   Might make for a very long fic in this case, though. :)

Good to see Willow being a good friend to Buffy, and B with the grieving, that' so important.

Oh boy I really miss Spike, just as much as Buffy *smirks*

Great chappy , can't wait for more ,love this story ! :D
Thanks. I hope you like the rest of it. :)

Giles still hasn't accepted the depth of love they felt for each other ... not just this last time but initially even before the soul.  He also didn't seem interested in details of that time and she might just need to talk of her regrets.  Oh Giles you are a flowed but loving father.

“You forgot the ‘My name is Inigo Montoya’ part.”

“Que?”

My favorite part of Princess Bride!  How perfect!  LOL.

Excellent tender chapter with lovely depiction of "life goes on" in the face of grief.  Buffy is more emotionally mature this time and has some support.  My guess is she will be starting to put herself together only to have our boy come back into her life.  I think she will move heaven and/or earth (or hell) to lose him again after this.  It'll be a case of "you go I go."

Really well done emotionally  in tune chapter.

Excellent as always.

Thank you, thank you. :)

Oh no, not Buffy with a death wish!  Maybe her friends will be enough to keep it from happening. Keep up the brillant work!
Probably not a wish so much as a "been there, done that, don't care if it happens again." :)

It was good to see Buffy coming out of herself and trying again.
*nods* That's our slayer. She never quits completely.

Giles finally has empty nest syndrome......now what he wants to be there for people, no one needs him. heh

Good to see Buffy moving on with life.
She's trying.  Yeah, Giles may have missed his chances to be there for Buffy when she needed him.
