Oh if only Giles would have been this nice in S7.  But then that is why you write fanfic.

I love how you write the characters here. I've noticed how Xander's attitude had softened when it concerns Spike and Spuffy in S7. Also love Buffy including her friends and family into her problems. Perhaps if she did this on the show instead of cutting herself off, the Scoobies would have been more supportive and easily saw her point.

Now THAT is how the Giles we all knew up to S6 would have acted.  I don't know WHAT they were thinking in S7.  Giles would never have gone behind Buffy's back with a man he had just met....he might have argued to kill Spike or not trust him and even watched very carefully but would never have done what they had him do.  He would have shown some interest in the soul getting too.  You write the Giles we all knew an usually loved.

Glad Xander tried to help and that she noticed it.  I think he would have.

I love these last two chapters!  I love that Buffy has evolved enough to accept her friends and family back into her life as they were before S5 & 6 and that they are supporting her as they should.  The closeness between Buffy and Spike is so sweet and wonderful to see too!
