Heartbreaking chapter. I really hope he hasn't messed up and they're stuck forever. Beautiful stuff, as always.

This was so sad and heartbreaking - I felt so sorry for Spike but with the power of words in magic and communication maybe the use and choice of words will offer them some hope against his idea of the three rules. 

This was such a beautiful chapter - you are really communicating the powerful emotions and despair and anguish that Spike and Buffy experience in this underworld/hell. 

Splendid work on this chapter and the entire work - congratulations and my "thanks" for bringing us this new Buffyverse fiction. 

Like the new banner - I was going to work on another one that depicted this new place where Buffy lives - this one works great.

A very affecting chapter, Buffy's bleak little home and Spike's despair.  He'll better after a rest, can't expect to be on top form after all that he's endured.  Then he can prepare to find the way out  fsor them.  Absolutely loving this.

This reminds me a bit of the film Threads (worth seeing)...it is a post nuclear world where language and society have collapsed for the survivors.  Bleak and sad like this hell.

Damn!  I worried about his promises, feared them.  Somehow I don't think it is as hopeless as he does (perhaps that's the trick....if you believe hope is gone it is). 

The writing of the title is now all around them and she is learning how to read Spike...communication will follow in good time and they can sort it out.

Excellent update hon....so touching how she trusts him.  He has made it better just by relieving her loneliness for now.  Buffy had been utterly abandoned but Spike came back into her life...that has to resonate on some level.

Oops, silly Spike. I wonder what language the markings are in... or has Buffy been there so long she has allowed English to adapt and change out of all recognition? After all I don't think she speaks any other language, does she?

I didn't see that coming! Going to go back and see whether I should have done.  Poor Spike - but at least there's tenderness.  Fascinated by the language of Buffy's despair .  Hope we find out what she's written.
