Great chapter! Oh how I wish canon Buffy had been appreciative of his soul getting like this one is but then again this one is more emotionally open.
Love the "bits of life" with Dawn too. It makes great sense that Buffy's relationship with Dawn is better in your world too because it was the same emotional handicaps that kept her from allowing herself to love Spike that kept her from bonding closely with Dawn.

Thank you! I'm glad you like this Buffy! I really think that if she'd have been more open minded, she would've been a lot better toward Spike. Dawn's definitely growing up, and she's about to start going through a lot of things that maybe Buffy's not ready to deal with....Lots more to come soon!

YAYAYAYAYAYA! He's back, he's back!! I was soooo happy that Spike came home! His return was handled very well.
I'm looking forward to the next chappie; finding out what Dana and the Council are up to and seeing if Buffy and Spike can keep themselves together. Can't wait!!
Thanks Katherine! I actually wrote SEVERAL pages with Dana, but I realized it was too soon, but I've got them saved for an upcoming chapter. :) Glad you liked Spike's return! I was hoping it didn't seem too rushed.
