Wow... Hank's human... Who knew? Nice to see a different take on the ol' father figure. What do they say, "There are no good reasons, just a bunch of poor excuses." And though he's still a "dud of a dad," he's still their dud... I mean dad.
Great chappie. Looking forward to seeing where Buffy's "new" view will take us.

Thanks! Buffy's somewhat new relationship with her dad is shaky at best, so the real question is whether or not they'll keep in touch!

Really a great chapter - you did an excellent exploration of the emotions that Buffy and Dawn were feeling against his absence, but also how much they still want to have a father be part of their lives.

Thank you! I didn't want Buffy to be totally cold toward her father, but there's still the question of whether or not they'll keep in touch after the visit!

Very good chappie! Again, loved the Spuffyness! :-) And I like the progression of Dawn and Buffy's relationship with their dad. Very good work!

Thanks Katherine! So glad you loved the Spuffyness! I think you'll REALLY enjoy the next chapter, but I don't want to give anything away! And yeah...I might've been hinting at the possibility of a bitty-Buffy or Spike Jr. I've been writing fan fiction for, God, 8 or 9 years, since I was 14 or so, and nearly every freaking one of my stories has a kid in it. I LOVE writing pregnancies and family stories, and I'm still on the fence about whether or not I want Buffy and Spike to have a baby in this one. I've been reading so many stories lately with Spike as a proud and doting pop, and I just love that side of him...and I'd love the chance to write that with him, considering in "Drawn to the Fire" he really didn't get much time with Buffy while she was pregnant.
