Absolutely worth a go! This is a take on Crush that makes all kinds of sense. I'm sort of surprised that I haven't seen it before. Buffy never realized how much worse things could have gone, though I totally understand her annoyance at being chained up. However, by not keeping her "enemy" close, all sorts of badness could overtake her.

Also, I love the Spike/Dru dynamic. It's so sweet and twisted. You've done a credible job at capturing that. Excellent!

okay, this doesn't look like something i'll be interested in, so before i even think about reading it, i'll ask you if he goes back to drusilla first because if that's the case, then i'm gonna have to pass.

I hope you continue. It's about time someone wrote a fic that delved into what would happen if Buffy's abuse drove Spike back to his old ways and they all have to deal with him trying to kill them all in revenge for their mistreatment of him (just don't have him want to harm Joyce and Dawn, of course).
