Ha! Being a native Florida gal, the ending to this chapter was pretty much my excuse for NOT moving to New York on scholarship for Fashion Design in the '80's. Nothing could make me brave *those* winters!!!
This fic is great so far! Am loving it, and can't wait to see where it goes from here! It was a given Spike was gonna pass on Humanitis... no poncy weaknesses for him (tho' frankly I did wonder if he'd offer to charm the goddess into splitting the prize and 'human penalty' between the two of them if the sitch was so bad, so there'd be more super-powered help available...) So, bye-bye Angel, and Liam gets a free pass... wow, a do-over. Guess the kicker might be what might bring him into contact STILL with the Slayer & Co...? Will he cross paths with her, or is it just bye-bye Angel/Liam, cya, have a nice life, and after much angst, Spuffiness? Which is also OK, BTW.
' Course it'd also be funny if Spike or Dru turned the newly human Angel/Liam again right off the bat, immediate fledgeling status... snicker... would serve him right...
Anyway, off to read more of this, love it, I'm hooked! Gotta love post-Chosen & post-NFA fics! Can't get enuff of 'em! Thanx!

OMG!!!! Just found your fic and I can honestly tell you that I squeed and have tear pricks in my eyes!
Wow! Would it be bad to say that I'm so glad you've got tears in your eyes!? I love that reaction! Sometimes, when you're writing and editing a story over and over again, you sort of gain too much distance and lose the emotional connection, so to read a comment like this is fantastic! Thank you so much! I'm glad my story is striking a chord!
