O.K. Here's an idea. Maybe Xander is really, really,really good in bed. that's possible - I mean, he did have at least two sex-crazed lovers. That's the ONLY thing I can think that could possibly get Dawn to marry him.
Why would Dawn marry anyone? I mean, hello? She had spike and angel in her life: How could anyone compare to them enough to marry? That's why I'm single - my cousins are so cute,smart & funny I just can't find the interest in "ordinary' people. And don't get me wrong - I like Xander. But he's not good enough for the Bit.

My first thout was "Oh my GOD!" and I am not one to lightly take the LORD's name in vain ( I don't know if that's the right 'vain' - no spell check on this machine). Xander???? I believe I'm as flummoxed as Spike.

Just got caught up. Great story, I'm loving it. Can't wait for the Immortal convo between B/S. Cause that was just so Wrong. And she does need to explain it to him. And here we have Dawn married to Xander,,eww. Unless he changed a whole lot, it's just horrible. Don't blame Spike for being pissed.

Are you reading the comics? I'm not anymore, but I do read the reviews, and in them it seems Xander is the new HOT thing. Cause him and Buffy are getting closer and she feels for him and was on her way to tell him so, when she caught him and Dawn making out. UGH!!! Can't stand what friggin' Joss is doing, GMAB ...Xander? I guess he's running outta ideas and now it's Xander who's so great everyone wants him. It's every teens boy dream to be the only guy in a castle full of women ,and I guess they're all so desperate and horny that Xander is it. Well since Xander was based on Joss I guess that fits...he'll be the hero now. God, I'm glad I stopped wasting my money on that nonsense. Batsu was bad enuff, now it's probably gonna be Bander . ICK!! Cause god forbid Spike and buffy actually reunite. Gosh , sorry I ranted I just get so mad about what Joss is doing now. :(

Okay, totally putting my revulsion against pairing Xander and "little Dawnie" together, I have to say that I am disappointed that Dawn would marry Xander, the one who had never really gotten over his crush on Buffy and ALWAYS had an outright HATRED of Spike dispite how much of a hypocrite it made him since he was with Anya (someone who did a hell of alot more evil than Spike, or even Angelus could have hope to accomplish).

Plus (although not explicited stated it's putting 2 + 2 together) there's the minor fact that Xander was the one who proudly spread the word about the "evil rapist" and convinced her hate her former best friend slash older brother. I always maintained that BOTH of them were at fault for everything that happened in Season 6.

Dawn was whiny but never a push over like Buffy was when it came to other trying to tell her how she should think or what she should do. She wasn't stupid either: Dawn had seen Spike's face and total lack of defensive wounds at the party and as soon as Dawn started seriously training in self defense, she'd figure out that something more had happened that what happened in Xander's story.

In the interim when Spike was in Africa, I always saw it as Buffy keeping silent about what all happened while Xander took it upon himself to "correct" (berate) the younger girl until Dawn finally "came around" to his views of Spike being nothing more than an evil monster.

After everything Spike had done for her, she owed him at least one conversation before she completely condemned him and was ready to light him on fire. But by the time Spike reappeared, Xander's persistence had paid off: Dawn hated absolutely Spike and wouldn't even talk to him except to threaten him. As Xander would put it "just the way she should."

I hate hypocrates, especially ones like Xander who forced, or at least try to force, their self-righteousness views onto others that they themselves don't even remotely follow (again Anya). Especially when Xander was ranting about something he knew nothing about. And I hope that Dawn would have be absolutely furious when she realized that Xander cheated her out of even talking to Spike before he died. I certainly wouldn't have a thing to do with him after I realized something like that.

(shakes head) I at least hope that you had Xander grow up a hell of alot before Dawn would have anything to do with him. Still, after seeing firsthand how badly Xander treated Anya I still don't see how Dawn would ever marry Xander.

I can certainly see why Spike is pissed off at Dawn, she's married that one person who ALWAYS hated and despised him just on the fact that he was an "evil demon" who didn't deserve to live. Anything wrong that Spike actually did was simply all the more reason to hate him. I definitely feel betrayed if someone I'd thought a friend turned around and married a person who gleely condemned me for anything they could and took a situation they knew almost nothing about and used it to turn the people I cared about against me.
