This is an awesome story. Love the Anya/Giles pairing --- perfect. And Oz is his 'drinking problem' . But I have a couple of questions. At the end of the last chapter, they gave Spike a shot and the professor said she had plans for him. But then in this chapter, it 'appears' that nothing happened to Spike, aside from getting beat up. And what exactly happened to Buffy? Was she raped?
I'm anticipating some serious guilt over Buffy killing a human. She always had hang ups with that, so I think you pegged her reluctantly to fight them perfectly.

Your character voices are so canon-perfect! I loved Willow's "Oz is alcoholic" excuse to Forrest....and how Buffy was demoralized, so Spike took charge to get them out of their cage. I'm just wondering what was done to them while they were unconscious. Hope you write more soon!

I can't wait to see how Buffy deals with killing humans, also sents their after her now will they go after her mom as well.
Oh no--they won't go after her mom. In the second chapter I believe, during Forrest and Riley's talk, they mention how Joyce's health records were checked, and that she was just an average human. They determined that whatever happened to Buffy, happened later on in life.

I'm so glad this story updated! Spike affecting Buffy when they're forced into a truce together, comforting her in a clearly vampire way, was done very well. I love how you're twisting what could have happened so well, with Anya/Gile and Forrest getting a look at Willow as a girl hurting from a bad breakup, and Riley changing because his first impression of Buffy was supernatural, that looks human, instead of human, with a bit of supernatural.
I was uncertain if Buffy was just violated by being treated like a thing, or if she was raped. I really like this story and can't wait to see how Spike and Buffy react once they're free, but with the threat still existing. Can't wait to read more! Great chapter!

I was quite nervous actually about how Spike and Buffy interacted with one another in this last chapter, but I'm glad what I tried to convey came through.

I like this - good idea to have Buffy and Spike captured and I have always thought that Giles and Anya were a better fit than Anya and Xander, they seem right for each other. Looking forward to updates. Thanks.
As old as Anya was, it made no sense for her to pursue Xander.

I always figured that the Initative would have loved to get ahold of Buffy, consdiering she's more unique than vampires. But then again, the show never actually protrayed them as big bad guys (they brought in Adam for that), so God forbid they do something that bad. I have issues with the whole idea of the Inatitive and how the show treated them.

Yeah, that part of the season made no sense to me. You have a superhuman right at your fingertips and....no testing whatsoever? It was weird.
