Just found this fic and have mixed feelings on alot of it but I'm intrigued to keep reading. Hate to see Dawn no longer caring about Spike when he always took care of her when she needed him, and while I get that Spike had to do a bit of changing along the way its difficult to see him being so utterly cold toward Buffy.
Very well written and I like the premise of Xander and Buffys grief-sex/baby predicament though. And glad to see Buffy treating Dawn with a little respect. Most fics have Buffy bossing her around or talking down to her too much for my liking. So while some of the changes in this verse have me ancy, some are definitely of the good.

excellent update - and I say again, what an terrible situation Buffy and Xander have gotten themselves into. There are not going to be any good answers to their problems.
Xander is so wrong, IMO, to have made these decisions without her consent - he is basically forcing her to accept his changes or give up her child. He probably would have gotten Buffy to agree with his new life plans without having played his heavy hand.
Sad to see that Dawn has moved on from her former feelings for Spike - but that feels like real life.
It's nice to start seeing more stories that reference season eight coming into the FF community.

Thank you! I agree about Xander behaving wrongly, he should have talked with Buffy about it earlier. Deep down he is upset about Buffy choosing slayerhood over a normal life with them, which makes him act like a jerk. Sadly, it's a Xander thing.
It sucks about Dawn, too. I've always loved her friendship with Spike (I'm already writing a sequel to this story, but from Spike's POV, it'll be easier to deal about Dawn's feelings towards him when he's the center of the story.)
