Fantastic dialogue!  I hope this Spuffy communication problem resolves itself.

If Spike was going to be an idiot and drive her away, there was no reason he should interfere."  --  Spike and Angel together are the best comedic duo ever.  You have captured it perfectly.  And really, those two are the only relationship that can hold a candle to the Spuffy.  Well done. 

Great chapter - Spike is a nut and great Angel.

You have great one liners! Loved the ones: "For all his annoyances and frustrations, Spike was family." and "If I thought you were evil, I’d kill you myself". Brilliant! Your dialogue between Spike and Angel is very believable. Great stuff! Can't wait for more!

That line Buffy made about the amulet was spot on Buffy speak.

I absolutely love the Spike / Angel interaction. They were great together in ATS 5, and you capture that perfectly.
And I like that Angel is being helpful about Buffy and Spike, not a great big jerk who wants them apart.
And I totally think you're right- SPike did like it in LA. He was treated with respect (even from Angel on ocassion), had friends and was very, very rarely treated like he was a 'evil, disgusting thing.' All he got with the Scoobies was hate and disgust. Can you really blame the man for wanting to stay with the ones who like him, opposed to the ones who always treated him like crap?
Anyway, great chapter!

 Aw. I like the Spike and Angel friendship that they have going on, even though it is tentative. It looks like Buffy is just going to run away from her emotions of Spike. Poor Spike.
