I liked this chapter very much. Spike was very real without falling into the stereotype of too sensitive or too defensive and mean or anything-- his time with Buffy and her reaction with the darkness covering them was great and natural for both, and then their argument wasn't overstated but fit them well and hinted at something vampiric Spike might need to explain later... ;)

I can't wait to find out what the initiative is like in this fic, and how Riley and Maggie will treat Buffy. Especially what our volatile slayer will say to them when they think of her as a demon.
