hey, i just started on this great fanfic two days ago, due to recommendition from my friend nmcil and i finished all 22 chapters and waiting for more :)
as a huge Spike and Buffy, i really like how you portrait their characters and emotions, thou i think Spike is sometimes cruel like when he walked away from Buffy that day in the castle
and as an Arab and a Muslim i must say i'm impressed by how you portrait Reem's character.
love it so far...please update soon :)

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my fic. About Spike's reaction to Buffy in the castle, he explained himself in this chapter. He was shocked and disappointed in her; the difference between Spike here and Spike back then was the this Spike didn't witness Buffy's depression and struggles, while Sunnydale Spike was more forgiving because he was able to see how hard things went for her. Not to mention that Spike now is not like the old Spike, he won't just follow Buffy blindly out of love.
I'm glad you liked Reem. And I'm so happy that an Arab and a Muslim is reading my story. :)

Awww and Ahhh! So good. I love this story. It's frustrating though, well Spike is frustrating isn't he :) . I hope Spike makes the best decision though (hint hint) Keep writing cause it'd definitly amazing! Love it and can't wait for more

Outstanding chapter - at last their talk about the mutual pain and emotional devastation that they both suffer with. Spike because he can be a real coward from his insecurity about his great capacity to love and never have it returned. Buffy, all her vulnerabilities from the love that she has given to people and all the draining away of her life from having been the Slayer and now everything is 1000 times greater.
I am so glad that you are writing this story, it's what is missing from the, IMVHO, nonsense of the comic book season - I can't understand how the writers of the season 8 don't get that the Buffyverse fans are interested primarily in the life story of the characters and the strong emotional content that was so vital to the success of the TV era series.
I can't tell you how proud I am to have my image associated with your fine story.

Thank you! Spike's insecurity does ruin things for him when it comes to Buffy, we'll see how that plays out in the sequal. A lot of Spike angst. I can't wait.
I find a lot fans focusing on S8's themes and plot, which have a lot of flaws. As for me, I focus more on the characters, S8 gives a lot of wonderful character stuff to play with. I actually regrert I hadn't written this fic during the time Buffy wanted to confess her feelings for Xander, imagine the angst, writing a Spuffy fic during that time is gonna be so challanging and interesting. But then Strangers was written two years ago, specifically after #10 when we learned that Buffy had robbed a bank.

The usual insecurities and miscommunications. Sometimes I just want to crack Buffy & Spike's heads together! Looks as if whatever else she's going to do, she's going to be taking motherhood more seriously. Good.
Someone needs to knock some sense into these two. Xander tried with Spike in the chapter, and Buffy obviously wants Spike, so it's up to Spike now to make a choice.
