Still reading, still loving every word of it. Very powerful, these buffy "self-reflections", I like the way you're handling the whole Dawn thing. Looking forward to more, great job.

Buffy needed Dawn. For balance. For purpose.
There is the truth! This should be interesting between all the information on where Buffy has been and the truth about Dawn it will turn everybody's world upsidedown. I wonder what change this different Buffy will make in dealing with Glory. This is a harder more ruthless version of the Slayer (and I wonder what difference Dawn, the dimensional key, might have in this dimensional situation coming up). Fascinating!
Both Spike and Buffy have been broken in many ways and need each other to find what pieces there are. Love the metaphor with the jigsaw puzzles.
Giles is being decent. I think he understands far better than Buffy would imagine.
Willow and Xander are so young...they have no idea how to relate to Buffy. I doubt they'll ever have the same closeness, not after all that's happened. They did her no service in telling their significant others meanwhile disparaging her feelings for Spike. They are young and she is ancient at this point. No wonder she has much in common with the ancient key.
