I'm glad you liked the argument. I'm sooo tired of naysayers theorizing that Buffy just wanted to make Spike feel better when he was dying or something. Piffle. She's a gal who doesn't sugarcoat things. Not to Spike anyway.

I can't see Spike conjuring up Willow and Xander for any reason so yeah that'll snap a guy back to reality really quick! Spike was trying to save himself from heartbreak by letting her out of her words. Glad to see she didn't take them back!
Silly vampire! I could blame his recent recorporealization, but he's always had a few insecurities. Usually they are about people wanting or liking him, so it's no wonder he's having trouble adjusting.
