I love this story! Silly Spike, being so insecure, but that is what I love about him! And Buffy being so Buffy, so unreadable.Again, this is a story that sticks with me, amazing characters & plot.

Thanks, Dawn! I'm so pleased that you appreciate the plot and characterizations since that is where the work really comes in - not in the Spuffy. I also love that you're considering that line you've quoted, because therein lies the answer to what she sees. ;-)

Great chapter! Spike feeling guilty, and not talking to Buffy about it (at least not yet). Gina is a hoot. Your original characters are a lot of fun.
Yay! So, so glad you like my OCs. I hope the story makes us all a bit more sympathetic and affectionate towards the junior Slayers. Thanks for reviewing. :-)

Absolutely stupendous, so, so happy, everyone got out more or less safe and sound. You've created such a great team, I'd hate to lose anyone. I'm hoping that now catastrophe has been averted we'll get some more Spuffy time. Spike seems ready to burst with guilt, all his insecurities are resurfacing, I get the feeling he wants to bolt. Buffy needs to show him how much she's grown up in the past 40 years. Still on tenterhooks, brilliant.........well worth waiting for.

Sooooo happy to see this winding down. Wait! That didn't come out right. LOL So happy to see more of it! That's what I meant to say! Assuming we have a bit more to go in which Buffy and Spike will have a conversation about what he did? I admit to being a little confused about his being so upset about using her already-removed blood, and I'm glad to see Buffy seems to be okay with it. It was the logical thing to do.
It was certainly the logical thing to do, but Spike has just got her back - miraculously - after 40 years and out of Iduna, and she's gorgeous and young and practically his and I think he's terrified of mucking it all up by looking like the greedy, self-interested 'thing' she once called him. But this is our world now, SMS, not Joss', so you know all will be right in it. ;-)

Great chapter! I feel like we're getting to a resolution, and it seems like it's going to be happier than Spike expects. Of course, you've fooled me before, which I should be used to from a story called "Time's Fool".
I am very curious to know what exactly has happened to Spike that's so visible but inexplicable to people. Whatever will Angel say? Heh.
