Grrrr Argh! I hope Spike tells her and shows her everything that piece of shit was doing to them before the chips went down. Not to mention, it's past time for Buffy to start getting smarter about life and the general nature of good, evil, souls and humans. More story please.

I think Buffy is still struggling with her definition of humanity. Thinking that Riley deserved her protection is just wrong. Doing what they did is the only available option they had. He would have gotten off scott free and then done the same thing all over again to another girl. Since the operation is so secretive it's unlikely he would even be discharged from service. Maybe Anya should have a tlak with her about vengeance.

Very good chapter! I loved Buffy comforting Spike despite being so angry with him.. and now that she is starting to calm down a little maybe she will hear him out and realise why they had done what they did. I LOVE that she is beginning to be a little less narrowminded in her view of things. I am really loving this story.
