It's great that Spike's pitching in for Conner's benefit. Spike's so very right about the differences between Willow and Cordy. Just love this fic, so glad there's so much more to enjoy.
It always bugged me that in the show they never really had Willow come off the fence. She wasn't particularly nice in the aftermath of Crush but that could be seen as trying to defend her friend, and really up until the Glory torture thing, the Scoobies could be forgiven for thinking that any change of attitude was purely cosmetic, but after that she just never seems to say or do anything one way or another. Far prefer Cordy's outlook. Glad you liked it.

There was always a certain amount of sparkage between Spike and Cordy (think of how she almost responded to his flattery in Into the Dark).
It was nothing to the sparkage between him and Buffy, though. Glad you're enjoying it.

Thank you! If I recall rightly from when True Colours was originally posted there were more amateur gardeners having a quiet giggle than Latin scholars, but then Latin scholars are becoming a rare breed these days.

Don't we all. Even back in In/Into The Dark (can never remember which it is) Spike seems to be flirting with Cordy. And one thing you could always say for her was that she always said what she meant.
