I wonder if it is really made up or his real one.
Well, I was just never overly keen on making up a surname for him when Joss could turn around and screw it up at a later date... And when he finally gave him a surname in the comics, Joss really did screw it up. In the US, Pratt might be a big name in aviation. Over here, it has very different connotations.

OK, I'm sitting here singing "The Things we do for Love" While I'm reading, very distracting, anyway, Dawn really wants to drive poor Janice up a tree. Doesn't she? Very surprised that Spike would want to use Rupert's name, other then knowing how much she loves Giles as a father. Well I guess we're meeting the minister now? Great read, fantasic chapter.
Lol! Sorry about the 10CC distractions, and, yeah, Dawn would definitely like to see Janice driven to distraction. I've always felt that though there have been times that they really haven't got on, that Spike probably has a grudging respect for Giles (when he's not being an idiot)...and for Buffy, well... Glad you liked it.

Love the fact her last name will be Giles - it seems rather fitting after all. Glad Xander is not acting like a complete A** this morning, but I am still mad at him! *grin* great update!
