Is this Drus POV and Angelus'? Who's the father? Angelus killed everyone else he knew, and he's going to keep Lizzie? OK, for the sake of the story, I'll buy it. Continuing to read this unusal fic, thanks.
No, Angelus didn't kill everyone he knew. After he was turned, he killed everyone else LIAM knew. It's an important distinction to make, here AND even on the show. Like a lot of vamps, he didn't want leaving, breathing reminders that he had once been a weak, fragile human. Lizzie was created by Angelus, not Liam. And the fact that most vamps can't father demons just adds to the appeal. She's something else, other than just his lineage, that sets him apart from the other vampires. I really like this fic. I like how you give us the thoughts of the characters as a way of us getting to know them. I am looking forward to the next chapter.

I was worried that you guys would want more dialogue, I'm trying to keep the setting of the story-namely 1700s-1800s-without compromising its believability, it just wouldn't be "realistic" to hear "like" every five seconds, and it's really hard to write in a way we don't normally speak, without reducing the reader to giggles. There'll be more of a balance later; but there will probably still be more thought than you normally see in most stories. That's just part of my writing style.
