I love this story and in counter to Spacelord...take a nearly celibate highly sexed vampire and insert naked Buffy in during Pool? No concentration ability at all...I love the interaction with Xander and agree that maybe everyone needs to sit down with Spike and discuss what Meret lets out telepathically...makes sense. I tend to get really involved and will try to review more...even though this story is finished...
That was certainly my interpretation of the character, but since when do Jossverse fans ever universally agree on points of plotting and characterization? ;-) And no worries, I'm blissfully happy for the reviews I get. Thanks!

Nice addition. Eagerly waiting more.
Thanks! I'm working on the next chapter, but the muse is being a pill lately.

fun read, thanks. not sure if the evil serpent deserves an apology. but the bit gets her tickets, that is of the good.
I couldn't forget the tickets! The Bit must be appeased at all costs! ;-) Thanks for the review!

Hmmm... If Spike walked up to the pool table (or certain actor) say licking sauce off his fingers would I get distracted? Nah, Pool table what pool table. Hope Meret milks the apology for all it's worth. Great Chapter
Hee! I think I'm right there with you. ;-) Thanks for the review!

Poor Meret! Grumpy spike would not be fun for the poor little thing. Great chapter, liked the Xander and Spike interaction!
Thanks! And yeah, thanks to Meret, when Spike ain't happy, ain't nobody happy, especially the coatl herself.

Nice, well-written look at the walking contradiction that is Spike. Loved the game of pool. Meret and Buffy are sorta two of a kind - both wicked minxes. Xander being nice and not just automatically reacting negatively to Spike was a nice change from the usual treatment of these two characters' relationship. Looking forward to the next chapter.
In the show, Spike seemed to gravitate to women who drove him nuts. Who am I to break the pattern? ;-) I'm glad you're liking it. Thanks for reviewing!

I think SpaceLord's forgetting that Buffy takes precedence in Spike's mind over anything else, and that he hasn't gotten laid in a very long time.

It would be nice for the group to sit down and relay exactly what they get and don't get through Meret, for Spike's peace of mind, at least. I'm missing the Spike/Tara interaction a bit, too.
Wait, honest communication in a Buffy fic? The world might end! ;-) I promise that Tara will be back later. Thanks for the review!

Yeah this was fun until you decided to give Spike the concentration ability of Homer Simpson, I mean if that's how easily he would get distracted how the hell would he survive for so long? I mean ok if he got distracted the first time but then over and over again, I don't think I've ever met or heard of a person with such lack of self control. I mean the first thing we ever hear about Spike is that when he sets his mind on something he don't stop until he's done and right this minute it would be pool not slutty and her lame attempts at being distracting.
I'm sorry you didn't like it, but I was basing that scene off of the only time we've really seen "Buffy" try to screw around with Spike's head in "Who Are You." Considering how off balance he's been in the rest of the story, I felt that it was logical in the bounds of this story. Thanks for the feedback, and I do hope that this doesn't turn you off of the entire story.
