I could not believe what Willows mom said about Joyce. Where have they been.
Willow's parents barely knew what was going on in their daughter's life, and on those few occasions we did see her mother, she seemed to regard Willow as more of a sociological experiment than her own flesh and blood. Her mum did call Buffy Bunny in canon. Whether because she was absent minded or never listened, I doubt she would have the slightest idea of what was going on with any of Willow's friends.

Finally! Buffy gets how destructive Willow really is and how selfish she's been for a long time. So sad the magic has changed her so much. At least this has brought to light the importance of Tara in their lives. Great chappie, thanks.
Yeah, Tara was pretty much the keystone that held that house together when Joyce was gone. After she left everything fell apart.

Thanks, honey. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

i like the discussion about willow and her selfishness. a good analysis of willow's character and an intersting perspective of why spike would prefer Xander to Willow. Excellant job as always!
Well, I don't know that Spike would prefer Xander to Willow, more he'd not want Buffy to be alone, but I know what you mean.

Thanks again, honey!

lol...that ending was pretty funny...very excellent job on this story, i must say :) and i love the way you write anya....so perfect :)
Thank you, honey!

Anya can be such a fun character to work with, and since I started writing my Giles/Anya series of ficlets, I've grown especially fond of her.

very good chapter. love seeing spike tell buffy exactly how good of friend red has been. great last line! thanks for the read.
Thank you!

Someone really needed to make Buffy see that she was letting the way things used to be in high school blind her to the way things had really been for the last year (at the very least).

:) Glad you liked that last line. Good job Willow's mom is so oblivious it makes up for Buffy's lack of expertise when it comes to subterfuge.

Yep, Spike, she's an absolutely horrid liar. It's a good thing Willow's parents are so oblivious.

Great stuff Spike pointed out, and it shows how much Buffy has grown that she actually considered what he said and finally agreed.
Thanks!

Buffy would never have a future in espionage, that's for sure... and there was just no way I could let Buffy make the same mistake all over again where Willow and Tara were concerned.
