Buffy letting Spike know that she loved him and then ranting about his reaction to her statement was great, and I loved Buffy's reaction when her mom suggested that Spike might not be good enough for her.
She should've said it a looooooonnnngggg time ago.

great update, thank you. love pragmatic joyce. even if she is just going with what is best for her daughter, she always had a soft spot for spike.
Oh, yes Joyce always did have a big soft spot for Spike. And she does believe that Spike could help Buffy, but little does she know what's to come.

Wow! That was an explosive first meeting between Buffy and her Mom. I do get where Joyce is coming from, but i'm glad her opinion changed when she saw Spike and Buffy interacting with each other. Things should get even more interesting when Spike's family turns up and meets Buffy. Fantastic chapter!

Now what's Spike going to do when Buffy leaves? Want work did he do before the coma and where is he suppose to live? Summer's basement, like always? Good to see that Joyce recognizes Spike as being important to her daughter. At least here, there's only a few years difference in their ages. Oooo, can't wait for the story to unfold from here. Very excited. Thanks for the read.

I thought Joyce was surprisingly cool about things. Nice one.
