I had a feeling this is what she had planned. I hope that Dawn listens to her intuition and goes to check. Maybe she can surprise them and catch the demon off guard. This story just gets better and better ever chapter!

But he still has to yield to her out loud. That's why Buffy's never worked in the first place. He never said the right words. Spike - if you have to, bite her and drain her again once you're free. Dawn and Joyce's lives, as innocents, are more important than Buffy's, and she'd feel exactly that way. She'd rather die than allow them to be hurt or killed. If you have to drain her to the point of needing the ICU, then do it.
