How I didn't think of it kinda strikes me though, especially after my siss and I had this really long conversation after the season7 episode where Xander goes all 'I know how brave you are with the stepping out of the spotlight stuff' about how they would end up getting smoochy with each other as soon as a nice spuffy-writer picked them for a nice side-romance :P

(or any other writer really but we don't actually read much of that since there's no pairing like a Spuffy pairing :P)
