I stil felt like this was more of a Angelus/Buffy fic than Spuffy :( Even though I love the story (I actually like the Angelus/Buffy pairing also), I felt that Spike was like a rebound for her or something. Poor Spike ;(
Either way, really good story, more porn than plot, but really well done.

I am purely upset about only one thing;Spike thinkin' that Buffy used him and Buffy thinkin' Spike used her. It could've ended in a better way,more Spuffy and less stuffy,maybe.But it was nice and I enjoyed it.

the ending is perfect. it sets up nicely for the next seasons and is a believable and realistic ending to the fic. it also adds such an interesting twist to the dracula episode. i especially like how you show spike throughout the fic, sort of desperate and confused and finally determined with a side of "protest too much." but could willow honestly keep her mouth shut?

well then we all know spike will be back, but I really love the "behind closed doors story." Although of course willow would have had to keep her mouth shut all this time too. but maybe after sleeping with buffy she'd be inclined to, I certainly think it could have put her on the path to Tara. I would have liked to have at least seen Buffy and Spike end up together though.

Yeah, I got a lot of flack about the ending not being "Spuffy" enough. But I think it adds a whole new dimension to the coming seasons. And even in the show they don't ever really wind up TOGETHER together. That would take away from the drama and angst of it all.

I really enjoyed reading your work! Thanks for putting in the effort for the rest of us to appreciate. Yes, I would have loved a Spuffier ending, but I agree that it was realistic considering the characters.

I thought I had given away the suspense of the ending by starting to incorporate episode dialogue, but I guess everyone was too far immersed in this version of events to see the parallels. So glad I could suprise you. I hate predictable endings (or sad endings). Thanks again.
